Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kegiatan pembelajaran daring pada mata pelajaran IPS, serta keefektifan kegiatan pembelajaran tersebut pada mata pelajaran IPS selama masa pandemi COVID-19 di kelas VIII MTs. Umdatur Rasihien.Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui angket (kuesioner) tertutup, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VIII MTs. Umdatur Rasikhien. Hasil penelitian menujukkan bahwa Pembelajaran IPS disaat Pandemi COVID-19 dilakukan secara daring dengan menggunakan platform E-learning MTs. Umdatur Rasikhien dan WhatsApp group sebagai sarana komunikasi antara guru dengan peserta didik. Namun dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran IPS secara daring masih belum efektif. Hal tersebut dikarenakan sebanyak 60% responden peserta didik belum memahami materi pembelajaran secara utuh selama pembelajaran daring berlangsung. Selain itu juga terdapat 68% responde yang pasif selama kegiatan pembelajaran, dan 83% responden memiliki suasana belajar yang tidak kondusif. Kemudian dilihat dari hasil penilian tengah semester peserta didik sebanyak 71% peserta didik yang tidak memenuhi nilai KKM 75 pada mata pelajaran IPS. This study aims to describe online learning activities in social studies subjects, as well as the effectiveness of these learning activities on social studies subjects during the COVID-19 pandemic in class VIII MTs. Umdatur Rasihien. This research used a descriptive methods, Data collecting methods were close questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The subjects of this study were students of class VIII MTs. Umdatur Rasikhien. The result of the study showed that Social studies learning during the COVID-19 pandemic was carried out online using the E-learning MTs. Umdatur Rasikhien platform and WhatsApp group as an application of communication between teachers and students. However, the implementation of online social studies learning is still not effective. This is because as many as 60% of student respondents have not fully understood the learning material during online learning. In addition, there are 68% of respondents who are passive during learning activities, and 83% of respondents have a learning atmosphere that is not conducive. Then seen from the results of the students' mid-semester assessment as many as 71% of students who did not meet the KKM 75 score in the social studies subject.
