Abstract

This study aims to empirically determine the use of WhatsApp as a learning medium for basic automotive engineering work: an experimental research at SMK. This research is using experimental method. The population in this study were class X students of the Motorcycle Engineering Department at SMK Ristek Jaya Jakarta. The samples taken were 40 students consisting of class X TSM 1 and class X TSM 2. From the results of this study, it was found that the class average score that applied the WhatsApp E-Learning media learning model was 5.42, while the calculation results of the class average value that applied the Google Classroom E-Learning media learning model was 4.57. The conclusion in this study, the learning outcomes of students who are taught using the WhatsApp E-Learning media learning model are greater than students who are taught using the Google Classroom media E-Learning learning model. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui secara empirik penggunaan whatsApp sebagai media pembelajaran pekerjaan dasar teknik otomotif : suatu penelitian eksperimen di SMK. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X Jurusan Teknik Sepeda Motor SMK Ristek Jaya Jakarta. Sampel yang diambil sebanyak 40 siswa yang terdiri dari kelas X TSM 1 dan kelas X TSM 2. Dari hasil penelitian ini didapatkan bahwa nilai rata-rata kelas yang menerapkan model pembelajaran E-Learning media WhatsApp sebesar 5,42, sedangkan hasil perhitungan nilai rata-rata kelas yang menerapkan model pembelajaran E-Learning media Google Classroom sebesar 4,57. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini, hasil belajar Pekerjaan Dasar Teknik Otomotif siswa yang dibelajarkan menggunakan model pembelajaran E-Learning media WhatsApp lebih besar disbanding dengan siswa yang dibelajarkan menggunakan model pembelajaran E-Learning media Google Classroom.
