Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh pemahaman mendalam mengenai rasisme dalam film Bienvenue à Marly Gomont karya Julien Rambaldi dan implikasinya pada pendidikan dan pembelajaran bahasa Prancis di Universitas Nergeri Jakarta. Kategori bentuk rasisme pada penelitian ini mengacu pada teori rasisme yang berlandaskan empat bentuk - bentuk rasisme yaitu menurut Naomi Zack. Subjek penelitian ini adalah film Bienvenue à Marly Gomont karya Julien Rambaldi yang dirilis pada tahun 2016. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan analisis isi. Analisis dilakukan pertama dengan memaparkan setiap unsur intrinsik film, yaitu alur, penokohan, dan latar. Tahap berikutnya adalah mengidentifikasi dan menginterpretasikan data-data yang mengandung bentuk-bentuk rasisme dalam bentuk kutipan berisi kata, frasa, kalimat, makna dan konteks dalam sumber data. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 30 data dalam cerita yang mencerminkan unsur rasisme yang dikategorikan dalam bentuk-bentuk rasisme. Dari tiga puluh kutipan kalimat tersebut, secara rinci ditemukan sebanyak 10 kutipan yang memuat rasisme oleh individu, 19 kutipan yang memuat rasisme dalam pikiran dan perkataan, 1 kutipan yang memuat rasisme dalam tindakan dan kejahatan, dan tidak terdapat kutipan yang memuat rasisme intitusionil. The purpose of this research is to increase understanding of racism from the film Bienvenue à Marly Gomont by Julien Rambaldi and the implication for education, especially education of french language in Universitas Negeri Jakarta. The category of racism in this study is focused on the theory of racism which is based on four forms of racism, according to Naomi Zack. The subject of this research is Bienvenue à Marly Gomont film by Julien Rambaldi, this film was released on 2016. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with a content analysis approach. the first step to analyze this film is show every intrinsic element of the film, such as plot, characters, and setting. the next step is identify and interpret data containing forms of racism in the form of quotes, phrases, sentences, meanings and contexts in the data source. The final results of this research shows it has 30 data in the story that brings out elements of racism which are categorized into forms of racism. from 30 quotes on the film, there are 10 quotes contain racism by individuals, 19 quotes contain racism in thoughts and speech, 1 quote contains racism in action and crime, and no quote contains institutional racism.
