Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dan juga hasil belajar siswa setelah menerapkan problem based learning. Metodologi penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan persentase kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dari 43,31% pada pra siklus atau dalam kategori kurang kritis, dan meningkat menjadi 52,70% pada siklus I dalam kategori kurang kritis, lalu meningkat kembali menjadi 60,38% pada siklus II dalam kategori cukup kritis dan meningkat menjadi 75,64% pada siklus III dalam kategori kritis. Hasil belajar siswa juga meningkat selama penerapan problem based learning, persentase ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa pada pra siklus hanya sebesar 5,71% dalam kategori rendah, lalu pada siklus I meningkat menjadi 45,71% dalam kategori rendah, kemudian meningkat kembali menjadi menjadi 65,71% pada siklus II dalam kategori sedang kemudian meningkat menjadi 85,71% pada siklus III. Berdasarkan hasil uji-t data pretest dan posttest siswa didapatkan hasil nilai (p = 0,000 α= 0,05, thitung = 17,598), dari hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa terjadi perbedaan yang signifikan dari hasil belajar siswa sebelum dengan sesudah menerapkan model problem based learning. Kata Kunci: Problem Based Learning, Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis, Hasil Belajar This study aims to determine all improvements in students' thinking skills and student learning outcomes after implementing problem-based learning. The research methodology used was classroom research. The results of this study showed an increase in students' thinking ability increased from 43.31% in the pre-cycle or in the less critical category, and increased to 52.70% in the first cycle in the less critical category, then increased again to 60.38% in the second cycle. critical category and increased to 75.64% in the third cycle in the critical category. Student learning outcomes also increased during the application of problem-based learning, the proportion of completeness of student learning outcomes in the pre-cycle was only 5.71% in the low category, then in cycle I increased to 45.71% in the low category, then increased back to 65, 71% in the second cycle in the medium category then increased to 85.71% in the third cycle. Based on the results of the data t-test in the pretest and posttest, the students obtained the results of the value (p = 0.000 α = 0.05, tcount = 17.598), from these results indicate that there is a significant difference in the results student learning before and after applying the problem based learning model.
