Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil penilaian hiasan dari limbah botol plastik pada produk hand bag dengan sumber inspirasi butterfly abstract painting, dengan feminine style dan artsy look yang dinilai berdasarkan teori syarat hiasan dan teori unsur dan prinsip desain. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan design One Shot Case Study. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah wawancara terstuktur kepada lima panelis ahli. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa satu dari kelima hiasan botol plastik yang diaplikasikan pada produk hand bag yakni desain nomor 1 dinyatakan belum memenuhi beberapa aspek penilaian yang meliputi kesesuaian letak hiasan, ukuran, dan proporsi. Sedangkan keempat desain lainnya dinyatakan sudah memenuhi aspek penilaiaian berdasarkan teori syarat hiasan, unsur dan prinsip desain. Desain nomor 4 menjadi desain yang paling baik karena memenuhi semua aspek yang ada, meliputi fungsi murni estetis, kesesuaian letak hiasan, bentuk, ukuran, warna, proporsi dan pusat perhatian. This study aims to determine the results of the decoration assessment of plastic bottle waste on hand bag products with the inspiration for butterfly abstract painting, with a feminine style and artsy look which is assessed based on the decoration requirements theory and element theory and design principles. The study method used is qualitative descriptive with the design of One Shot Case Study. The data collection technique in this study was structured interviews with five expert panelists. The results of this study showed that one of the five plastic bottle decorations applied to hand bag products namely design number 1 was declared not to meet several aspects of the assessment that include the suitability of the decoration location, size, and proportions. While the other four designs were stated to have fulfilled the aspects of assessment based on the theory of decoration requirements, elements and principles of design. Design number 4 was the best design because it met all aspects, including purely aesthetic functions, suitability of decoration location, shape, size, color, proportions and point of interest.
