Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMK Pariwisata Kasih Ananda Jakarta, yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pembinaan pendidikan karakter, model pendidikan karakter, serta pendidikan karakter berdasarkan kemandirian peserta didik dalam prakerin. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan September 2020 hingga Desember 2020. Peneliti menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) pembinaan pendidikan karakter diawali dengan memasukkan nilai karakter yang terdapat dalam visi dan misi sekolah. Selanjutnya, memasukkan nilai karakter dalam kurikulum sekolah. Kemudian, menanamkan nilai karakter dalam intrakurikuler dan ekstrakurikuler. Serta, memasukkan nilai karakter dalam tata tertib sekolah. (2) pembentukan karakter kemandirian peserta didik dengan pola pembiasaan rumus think - act - habit - character dan reward - punishment. (3) kemandirian peserta didik dalam prakerin di jurusan Akomodasi Perhotelan, yaitu perserta didik berhasil menyelesaikan pekerjaan dengan baik dan melaporkan sebagai pertanggungjawaban, serta mendapatkan sertifikat dari pihak hotel. Selain itu, selama di industri peserta didik mampu menampilkan perilaku dan karakter kemandirian, disiplin waktu, mampu bertindak solutif terhadap kendala yang dialaminya, mempunyai kemampuan berfikir metakognitif, serta dapat bertindak dan mengerjakan pekerjaan terjadwal dan terstruktur. This research was conducted at the SMK Pariwisata Kasih Ananda Ananda, Jakarta, which aims to determine the development of character education, character education models, and character education based on the independence of students in internships. This research was conducted from September 2020 to December 2020. Researchers used a qualitative approach and descriptive methods. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation study. The results of this study indicate that: (1) character education development begins by entering the character values contained in the vision and mission of the school. Next, include character values in the school curriculum. Then, embed character values in intracurricular and extracurricular activities. Also, include character values in school regulations. (2) the formation of independent character of students with the habituation pattern of the think - act - habit - character formula and reward - punishment. (3) the independence of students in the internship in the Hospitality Accommodation department, namely the student successfully completes a job properly and reports as an accountability, and obtains a certificate from the hotel. In addition, while in the industry students are able to display independent behavior and character, time discipline, be able to act solutions to the obstacles they experience, have the ability to think metacognitive, and can act and do scheduled and structured work.
