Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali informasi mengenai kegiatan pembelajaran dengan model problem based learning pada anak berbakat akademis di Noble Academy (Gifted and Talented Education) Jakarta. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Sumber data adalah hasil observasi, wawancara dengan kepala administrasi dan guru serta kumpulan dokumentasi. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kegiatan pembelajaran dengan model problem based learning di Noble Academy (Gifted and Talented Education) Jakarta dikatakan berhasil dalam mengembangkan bakat, pemikiran kreatif maupun pemikiran tingkat tinggi (HOTS) peserta didiknya karena kegiatan pembelajaran sudah mencakup empat konsep yang menggambarkan operasi suatu model pembelajaran yakni tahapan pembelajaran, prinsip reaksi, sistem sosial dan sistem pendukung. Keberhasilan model tersebut tidak luput dari proses assesmen, perencanaan pembelajaran, pelaksanaan pembelajaran, evaluasi pembelajaran serta faktor yang mempengaruhi keberhasilan pembelajaran yang telah diusahakan pihak Noble Academy (Gifted and Talented Education) Jakarta dengan maksimal. This study aims to gain information about the learning activities with problem based learning model for gifted children at Noble Academy (Gifted and Talented Education) Jakarta. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection was done by using observation, interview and documentation techniques. Data sources are the results of observation, interview with the head of administration, teacher and a collection of documentation. The data which collected was analyzed by data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusion. The result showed that learning activities with problem based learning model at Noble Academy (Gifted and Talented Education) Jakarta was said to be successful in developing the talents, creative thinking and higher order thinking skill of their gifted children because the application of problem based learning model includes four concepts that describe the operation of learning model namely the learning stage, reaction principle, social system and support system. The success of that model cannot be separated from the process of assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation of learning and other supporting factors which have been maximized by Noble Academy (Gifted and Talented Education) Jakarta.
