Abstract

Hasil dari penelitian ini berupa modul membaca permulaan Braille dengan teknik Mangold, modul dikembangkan dengan latihan-latihan perabaan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan Braille. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan modul membaca permulaan Braille dengan teknik Mangold sebagai bahan ajar. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan dengan menggunakan model ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation). Peneliti melakukan validasi dan uji coba modul kepada siswa tunanetra kelas I. Siswa menunjukkan ketertarikan dan modul layak untuk digunakan. Hasil validasi produk dari para ahli memperoleh presentase skor 84,37% dalam kategori penilaian memiliki nilai sangat baik. The results of this study were in the form of a beginning Braille reading module with the Mangold technique, the module was developed with tactile exercises to improve the ability to read the beginning of Braille. This study aims to determine the feasibility of the pre-reading Braille module using the Mangold technique as a teaching material. This type of research is research and development using the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation). The researcher conducted the validation and testing of the module with blind students in grade I. Students showed interest and the module was safe to use. The results of product validation from the experts obtained a score percentage of 84.37% in the assessment category which has a very good value.
