Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menemukan model konseptual maupun model empiris yang memprediksi turnover intention karyawan pada industri perhotelan dengan menganalisa variabel employer brand, service climate, dan employee engagement. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif kausal. Populasi yang digunakan adalah karyawan hotel bintang lima di Jakarta, dengan sampel penelitian berjumlah 330. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner yang disebarkan pada karyawan hotel bintang lima di Jakarta. Prosedur SEM digunakan untuk menguji model serta pengolahan data penelitian dengan bantuan perangkat lunak AMOS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa employer brand, service climate, dan employee engagement berpengaruh signifikan terhadap turnover intention dengan arah negatif secara langsung dan tidak langsung. Dengan demikian employer brand, service climate, dan employee engagement mampu memprediksi turnover intention karyawan pada industri perhotelan. Kebaruan penelitian secara empiris menemukan bahwa employer brand melalui employee engagement memberi pengaruh terbesar terhadap turnover intention. Selain itu, employer brand dapat dipakai untuk memprediksi turnover intention dalam konteks industri perhotelan secara konseptual. Kata kunci: employer brand, service climate, employee engagement, turnover intention *********** The purpose of this study is to find a conceptual model as well as an empirical model that predicts employee turnover intention in the hotel industry by analyzing variables of employer brand, service climate, and employee engagement. This research is a causal quantitative research. The population used is employees of five star hotels in Jakarta, with a research sample of 330. The sampling technique uses simple random sampling technique. Collecting data in this study using a questionnaire distributed to employees of five star hotels in Jakarta. SEM procedures are used to test models and research data processing with the help of AMOS software. The results showed that employer brand, service climate, and employee engagement had a significant effect on turnover intention in a direct and indirect negative direction. Thus employer brand, service climate, and employee engagement are able to predict employee turnover intention in the hotel industry. The novelty of empirical research found that employer brands through employee engagement have the greatest influence on turnover intention. In addition, employer brands can be used to predict turnover intention in the context of the hotel industry conceptually.
