Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan membaca bahasa Arab melalui teknik Look and Say kelas IV SDIT Segar Amanah. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SDIT Segar Amanah sebanyak 32 orang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dengan model dari Kemmis dan Mc Taggart yang terdiri dari perencanaan, tindakan dan pengamatan, serta refleksi yang dilakukan selama 2 siklus. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan tes dan pedoman observasi kegiatan belajar mengajar dan pedoman observasi guru dan murid. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa teknik Look and Say dapat meningkatkan keterampilan membaca bahasa Arab siswa dengan perbedaan hasil dari pretest, post-test siklus 1 dan post-test siklus 2 dengan nilai rata-rata kelas pada pretest adalah 49,5 kemudian hasil nilai rata-rata pada post tes siklus 1 adalah 69,2 dan hasil nilai rata-rata kelas pada post-test 2 adalah 86,8. Tes yang dilakukan meliputi aspek kemampuan mengidentifikasi bunyi, menyebutkan kata, menjawab soal cerita, dan mengartikan kalimat. Selain itu juga terdapat perbedaan kondisi kelas dimana saat sebelum tindakan kondisi kelas kurang kondusif dan siswa kurang antusias mengikuti pembelajaran namun setelah dilakukan tindakan kondisi kelas lebih kondusif dan siswa lebih antusias mengikuti kegiatan pembelajaran. Kesimpulan dari hasil penelitian ini adalah bahwa teknik Look and Say dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membaca siswa kelas IV SDIT Segar Amanah. Kata kunci: Keterampilan Membaca Bahasa Arab, Look and Say This research aims to improve the Arabic reading skills of fourth grade of SDIT Segar Amanah students through the Look and Say technique. The subjects of this research were 32 students of fourth grade SDIT Segar Amanah. This research used a Classroom Action Research method with a model from Kemmis and Mc Taggart which consisted of planning, acting and observing, and reflecting throughout 2 cycles. The data was collected using test and observation guidelines for teaching and learning activities and observation guidelines for teacher and student. This research shows that the Look and Say technique can improve students' reading skills in Arabic with the difference in the results of the pre-test, post-test cycle 1 and post-test cycle 2 with the class average score in the pre-test is 49.5. Then the average score results in the post test cycle 1 was 69.2 and the result of the class average score in the post-test 2 was 86.8. The tests included aspects of the ability to identify sounds, uttering words, answer questions, and interpret sentences. In addition, there are also differences in classroom conditions. Before the treatment, the classroom conditions were less conducive and students were less enthusiastic in participating the learning activities. But after the treatment was given, the conditions of the classroom were more conducive and students were more enthusiastic in participating the learning activities. The result of the study concludes that the Look and Say technique can improve the reading ability of fourth grade students of SDIT Segar Amanah. Keywords: Arabic Reading Skills, Look and Say
