Abstract

The goal of experimental research was to find out the comparison of the effect of two audio visual learning media in science learning outcomes. Audio Visual Learning Media consisted of video learning and documentary film. This aim of this research was also to find out the interaction between audio visual learning media and literacy reading in science learning outcomes. Reading literacy were divided into two levels, namely high and low. This research was implemented in the elementary school of Inpres Minasa upa and the elementary school of Inpres Tidung II in 2014. This research used experimental method with Treatment by level 2x2 design. The sample of this research was 40 students which are divided into four groups where by each group consisted of ten students. The technique analysis used two-ways analysis of variance (ANOVA) and followed by Tukey test at α = 0.05 level of significance. The result of this research showed that (1) the learning outcomes of science showed that Interactive learning video was generally higher than the documentary film Fvalue = 6,27 > Ftable = 4,11 then H0 would be rejected and H1 would Be Accepted. (2) There was an interaction between audio visual learning media and literacy reading in science learning outcomes Fvalue = 9,57 > Ftable = 4,11 then H0 Would be rejected and H1 Would Be Accepted. (3) For high literacy reading given interactive video learning was higher than documentary film Qvalue = 5,60 > Qtable = 4,33 then H0 Would be rejected and H1 would be accepted. (4) For low literacy reading given documentary film was higher than interactive video leraning Qvalue = 0,59 < Qtable = 4,33 then H0 would be rejected and H1 would be accepted
