Abstract

This study aims to determine: 1). The relationship between eye-hand-foot coordination on the results of the 50-meter breaststroke 2) The relationship between waist flexibility and the results of the 50-meter breaststroke 3) The relationship between eye-hand-foot coordination and waist flexibility on the results of the 50-meter breaststroke. This research was carried out from January 2021 to June 2021. Data collection was carried out in June 2021 for the Indonesian Star Aquatics (ISA) swimming club athletes. The population in this study was the Indonesian Star Aquatics (ISA) club swimming athletes, which amounted to 60 people. As for the sampling technique using purposive sampling technique. Thus, the sample used was 30 swimming athletes from the Indonesian Star Aquatics (ISA) club. The research instruments used in the study were: 1) To measure eye-hand-foot coordination was Sridadi's Eye-Hand-Foot Coordination Test, 2) To measure waist flexibility using the sit and reach test and 3) To measure the results of the 50 meter breaststroke swimming using the 50 meter breaststroke swimming test. The results showed that: 1). There is a relationship between eye-hand-foot coordination on the results of the 50 meter breaststroke swimming. This can be seen from the results of tcount = 17.01 > ttable = 1.70 with a significance level of 0.05. The regression equation is: = 579.19 – 9.71 X1. The contribution of eye-hand-foot coordination (X1) is 90% to the results of the 50 meter breaststroke, and the remaining 10% is influenced by other factors. 2) There is a relationship between waist flexibility and the results of the 50 meter breaststroke swimming. This can be seen from the results of tcount = 4.87 > ttable = 1.70 with a significance level of 0.05. The regression equation is: = 16.14 + 0.68 X2. The contribution of waist flexibility (X2) is 9% to the 50 meter breaststroke swimming results, and the remaining 54% is influenced by other factors. 3) There is a relationship between eye-hand-foot coordination and waist flexibility together with the results of the 50 meter breaststroke swimming. This can be seen from the results of Fcount = 10.50 > Ftable = 3.34 with a significance level of 0.05. The regression equation is: = 499.71 – 8.46 X1 + 0.23 X2. The contribution of eye-hand-foot coordination (X1) and waist flexibility (X2) together is 44% to the 50 meter breaststroke swimming results, and the remaining 56% is influenced by other factors.
