Abstract

Abstrak* Interaksi yang terjadi antara mahasiswa dan dosen dalam konteks pembelajaran yang ada di perguruan tinggi merupakan interaksi dimana proses transformasi pembelajaran terjadi. Dalam interaksi belajar membutuhkan motivasi belajar sehingga mahasiswa dapat menyelesaikan mata kuliah. Hal yang dapat memfasilitasi peningkatan motivasi belajar pada mahasiswa dapat dilakukan antara lain dengan adanya komunikasi interpersonal yang baik antara mahasiswa dengan dosen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa hubungan komunikasi interpersonal antara mahasiswa dengan dosen terhadap motivasi belajar mahasiswa tata rias Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei dan merupakan penelitian korelasional. Sampel yang diambil dari penelitian ini adalah sampel total dimana seluruh populasi dijadikan sampel dengan jumlah sampel sebesar 32. Didapatkan hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif antara komunikasi interpersonal (variabel X) terhadap motivasi belajar (variabel Y) dengan ditunjukkannya dengan nilai koefisien korelasi (r) sebesar 0,761. Dalam penelitian ini juga menunjukkan besarnya pengaruh komunikasi interpersonal (X) terhadap motivasi belajar (Y) sebesar 57,9% dan sisanya 42,1% dipengaruhi oleh faktor-fakor lain yang diketahui dari koefisien determinasi (R2). Nilai koefisien regresi komunikasi interpersonal (X) terhadap motivasi belajar (Y) dilakukan dengan perhitungan regresi linear sederhana didapatkan sebesar 18,351 yang memiliki arti setiap peningkatan komunikasi interpersonal sebesar 1, maka motivasi belajar mahasiswa tata rias akan meningkat sebesar 0,847. Dengan persamaan regresi dapat ditulis Y = 18,351 + 0,847 X. Abstract* Interaction between students and lecturers on learning context in university is an interaction where transformation learning happens. Learning interaction needs learning motivation to finish the subject that students have chosen. Another thing that can facilitate escalation of learning motivation on students is having good interpersonal communication between students-lectures. The study aims to analyze the relation of interpersonal communication between student and lecturer to the learning motivation of cosmetology students of the State University of Jakarta. This study is a correlational study using a survey method. Findings suggest from this study that there is a siginificant relation between interpersonal communication (variable X) towards learning motivation (variable Y) as indicated by the correlation coefficient (r) of 0,761. The result of this research also shows that interpersonal communication (variable X) influenced learning motivation (variable Y) by 57.9% using determination coefficient (R2) and the rest of the 42,1% are influenced by factors that are not explored by the writer. The regression coefficient value of interpersonal communication (variable X) towards learning motivation (variable Y) is 18,351, indicates each increase of family environment is equal to 1, therefore students of cometology learning motivation will increase up to 0,847. Within a regression equation, it becomes Y = 18,351 + 0,847 X.
