Abstract

Kegiatan mahasiswa tidak hanya berkuliah dan berorganisasi di dalam kampus tetapi beberapa mahasiswa memilih bekerja paruh waktu untuk mem-peroleh pengalaman maupun memenuhi kebutuhan lainnya tanpa mengganggu jadwal perkuliahan. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran self management yang dilakukan mahasiswa pekerja paruh waktu di Fakultas Ilmu Sosial Universitas Negeri Jakarta dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara purposive sampling pada maha-siswa Fakultas Ilmu Sosial Univesitas Negeri Jakarta dengan subjek sebanyak 43 mahasiswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan yaitu observasi, angket, wawancara, dokumentasi dan studi kepustakaan. Hasil penelitian ini dapat dilihat pada kemampuan pendorongan diri mahasiswa yang tergolong tinggi. Namun tiga aspek self management seperti penyusunan diri, pengendalian diri dan pengem-bangan diri masih berkriteria sedang. *********** Student activities are not only studying and organizing on campus, but some students choose to work part-time to gain experience and fulfill other needs without disturbing the lecture schedule. Therefore, this study aims to determine the description of Self Management carried out by part-time working students at the Faculty of Social Sciences, State University of Jakarta using descriptive meth-od. Sampling was done by purposive sampling on students of the Faculty of So-cial Sciences, State University of Jakarta with 43 students as subjects. Data collec-tion techniques used are observation, questionnaires, interviews, documentation and literature study. The results of this study can be seen in the students self-motivation ability which is classified as high. However, three aspects of Self Man-agement such as self-regulation, self-control and self-development still have mod-erate criteria.
