Abstract

ABSTRAK Natasya Noor Fauzia. Penanaman Karakter Kemandirian Bagi Anak Usia 10-15 Tahun (Studi Kualitatif di Yayasan Manba’ul Khairat Jakarta Selatan) Skripsi. Jakarta: Program Studi Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewargangeraan, Fakultas ilmu Sosial, Universitas Negeri Jakarta, 2021. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana proses penanaman karakter kemandirian bagi anak usia 10-15 tahun dan mengetahui hasil dari penerapan penanaman karakter kemandirian bagi anak usia 10-15 tahun di Yayasan Manba’ul Khairat Jakarta Selatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Penelitian ini dimulai dari bulan April sampai dengan bulan Juni 2021. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, dokumentasi, dan wawancara yang dilakukan dengan informan dan key informan. Wawancara dengan (3) tiga orang informan yaitu anak asuh yang ada di Yayasan Manba’ul Khairat dan (2) dua orang key informan yaitu pengasuh dan pemilik di Yayasan Manba’ul Khairat. Serta melakukan proses konfirmasi kepada seorang ahli yaitu dosen Psikologi UNJ. Analisis data dilakukan dengan langkah reduksi data, display data, dan penarikan/verifikasi kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa penanaman karakter kemandirian bagi anak usia 10-15 tahun di Yayasan Manba’ul Khairat dilakukan melalui metode pembiasaan dan pembinaan yang memfokuskan untuk membentuk kemandirian emosional anak, kemandirian tingkah laku anak, dan kemandirian nilai anak. Proses penanaman karakter kemandirian bagi anak usia 10-15 tahun di Yayasan Manba’ul Khairat dilakukan sesuai dengan tahap perkembangan moral pada diri anak. Pengunaan metode pembiasaan dari berbagai kegiatan seperti sholat berjamaah, mengaji bersama, kegiatan piket, membersihkan kamar tidur, bimbingan keseharian, menjahit, belajar berdakwah, belajar hadroh, dan membantu pengasuh untuk menjaga satu sama lain, memperlihatkan anak sudah memasuki tahap konvensional yang dimana anak sudah mampu memenuhi tugas sosial untuk menjaga sistem sosial yang berlangsung. Hasil dari penanaman karakter kemandirian bagi anak usia 10-15 tahun memperlihatkan anak mampu untuk percaya diri, mampu mengambil keputusan, bertanggung jawab, mampu bersaing untuk maju, dan tidak bergantung pada orang lain. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu proses penanaman karakter kemandirian bagi anak usia 10-15 tahun di Yayasan Manba’ul Khairat dilakukan melalui metode pembiasaan dan pembinaan sesuai dengan tahap perkembangan moral mereka yang di fokuskan untuk membentuk kemandirian emosional anak, kemandirian tingkah laku anak, dan kemandirian nilai anak. Hasil dari penanaman karakter kemandirian bagi anak usia 10-15 tahun memperlihatkan anak mampu untuk percaya diri, mampu mengambil keputusan, bertanggung jawab, mampu bersaing untuk maju, dan tidak bergantung pada orang lain. The Planting Character of Independence for Children Aged 10-15 Years (Qualitative Study at The Manba’ul Khairat Foundation South Jakarta) Thesis. Jakarta: Pancasila and Citizenship Education Study Program, Faculty of Social Sciences, Universitas Negeri Jakarta, 2021. This study aims to find out how the process of planting the character of independence for children aged 10-15 years and find out the results of the application of character planting of independence for children aged 10-15 years at the Manba'ul Khairat Foundation in South Jakarta. This research uses descriptive research method using qualitative approach. This research starts from April to June 2021. Data collection techniques are conducted with observations, documentation, and interviews conducted with informants and keys informants. Interview with (3) three informants, that is foster children in Manba'ul Khairat Foundation and (2) two key informants, that is caregivers and owners at Manba'ul Khairat Foundation. As well as conducting the confirmation process to an expert, that is lecturers in Psychology UNJ. Data analysis is performed with data reduction measures, data display, and conclusion withdrawal/verification. Based on the results of this study shows that the character planting of independence for children aged 10-15 years in the Manba'ul Khairat Foundation is done through habituation and coaching methods that focus on shaping children's emotional independence, child behavior independence, and child value independence. The process of planting the character of independence for children aged 10-15 years in the Manba'ul Khairat Foundation is carried out in accordance with the stage of moral development in the child. The use of habituation methods from various activities such as congregational prayer, praying together, picket activities, cleaning the bedroom, daily guidance, sewing, learning to preach, learning hadroh, and helping caregivers to take care of each other, shows the child has entered a conventional stage where the child has been able to fulfill social tasks to maintain the social system that is ongoing. The result of instilling the character of independence for children aged 10-15 years shows children are able to be confident, able to make decisions, be responsible, able to compete for progress, and not rely on others. The conclusion of this study is that the process of instilling the character of independence for children aged 10-15 years at the Manba'ul Khairat Foundation is carried out through habituation and coaching methods in accordance with their stage of moral development which is focused on forming children's emotional independence, child behavior independence, and child value independence. The result of instilling the character of independence for children aged 10-15 years shows children are able to be confident, able to make decisions, responsible, able to compete for progress, and not rely on others. .
