Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis alasan wanita memilih menjadi penari Kuda Lumping Sanggar Among Rogo Kepang Klawur dan menganalisis fungsi penari Kuda Lumping wanita sanggar Among Rogo Kepang Klawur. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian diperoleh dari wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa: (1) ada alasan wanita menjadi penari kuda lumping, yakni alasan ekonomi, alasan pendidikan, alasan keluarga, alasan lingkungan sosial, dan alasan budaya. (2) Penulis juga menemukan bahwa terdapat beberapa fungsi dari penari wanita kuda lumping yakni, fungsi daya tarik, pelestarian budaya, dan hiburan. This study aims to analyze the reasons for women choosing to become Kuda Lumping dancers in the Among Rogo Kepang Klawur studio and to analyze the function of female dancers of Kuda Lumping from the Among Rogo Kepang Klawur group. The method used in this study uses a qualitative approach. Research data collection techniques obtained from interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this study indicate that: (1) There are reasons why women become lumping horse dancers, as economic reasons, educational reasons, family reasons, socio reasons, and cultural environment reasons. (2) The author also found several functions of female lumping horse dancers, namely the function of attraction, cultural preservation, and entertainment.
