Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh data tentang upaya guru dalam menghadapi kesulitan belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran sejarah di SMK Negeri 7 Jakarta. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMK Negeri 7 Jakarta pada bulan April 2021 sampai dengan bulan Juni 2021. Populasi target yang diteliti dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X di SMK Negeri 7 Jakarta yang berjumlah sembilan kelas, yakni kelas X TKJ 1, X TKJ 2, X DG 1, X DG 2, X MM 1, X MM 2, X CP 1, X CP 2, X CP 3 dengan diambil sampel sebanyak 94 siswa dari total 319 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik sampling acak sederhana (simple random sampling). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa upaya yang dilakukan guru untuk menghadapi kesulitan belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran sejarah di SMK Negeri 7 Jakarta cukup baik. Dalam melakukan perencanaan pembelajaran siswa lebih banyak mengandalkan internet untuk mencari informasi tambahan mengenai materi pelajaran sejarah dibanding dengan membaca buku-buku sejarah. Walaupun siswa siap mengikuti proses pembelajaran sejarah di kelas dengan baik, tetapi mereka juga mengalami kesulitan dalam belajar sejarah yang disebabkan oleh materi yang sulit dipahami, kurang minatnya siswa dalam membaca buku-buku sejarah, serta kejenuhan siswa dalam belajar sejarah di kelas apabila siswa tidak dilibatkan langsung dalam proses pembelajarannya. Faktor lingkungan sekitar tempat berlangsungnya proses pembelajaran dan faktor permasalahan pada siswa seperti konflik yang dialami siswa juga mempengaruhi kesulitan belajar siswa. Untuk mengatasi kesulitan belajar yang dihadapi siswa SMK Negeri 7 Jakarta, diperlukan upaya guru untuk mengatasi masalah kesulitan belajar siswa ini diantaranya guru memberikan motivasi kepada siswa, guru menggunakan metode yang bervariasi ketika pembelajaran berlangsung untuk membangun semangat siswa, dan melakukan pendekatan lebih mendalam lagi dengan siswa, agar guru bisa mengetahui secara mendalam terkait permasalahan yang sedang dialami oleh siswa yang membuat pembelajaran siswa terganggu. ************ The research aims to obtain data about the teacher’s efforts in facing students learning difficulties learning in history lesson at SMK Negeri 7 Jakarta. The research was held at State University of Jakarta on April 2021 until June 2021. The target population in this research is all off grade X at SMK Negeri 7 Jakarta which amounts to 9 class: X TKJ 1, X TKJ 2, X DG 1, X DG 2, X MM 1, X MM 2, X CP 1, X CP 2, X CP 3 with by taking a sample amounts to 94 students of totaling 319 students. The used sampling technique in this research is simple random sampling. The research results show that the teacher’s efforts to facing students learning difficulties in history lesson at SMK Negeri 7 Jakarta is good. In planning learning, students rely more on the internet to find the information about history lesson more that reading history book. Although the students ready to follow the process history learning in class well, but they are also experience difficulty of studying history which are caused by difficult to understand material, and students boredom of studying history in class if the students not directly involved in the learning process. The environmental factors around the place of learning process and the problem factors in student like a experienced conflict by students also influence of student learning difficulties. To deal with learning difficulties faced by students of SMK Negeri 7 Jakarta needed the teacher's efforts to handle about student learning difficulties like the teacher's giving motivation to students, the teacher's also using the variation method during learning to build students enthusiasm and take a more in-depth approach with students so that teachers can find out more about the problem that are being experienced by students and interfere with the learning process.
