Abstract

ABSTRAK Alvira Inez Damaranti. Pendidikan Karakter Berbasis Alam dan Agama dalam Membangun Budaya Sekolah di SD Alam Tangerang Mekar Bakti. Skripsi. Jakarta: Program Studi Pendidikan Sosiologi, Fakultas Ilmu Sosial, Universitas Negeri Jakarta, 2021. Pendidikan karakter adalah suatu sistem penanaman nilai-nilai karakter kepada warga sekolah yang meliputi komponen pengetahuan, kesadaran atau kemauan, dan tindakan untuk melaksanakan nilai-nilai tersebut, baik terhadap Tuhan Yang Maha Esa, diri sendiri, sesama, lingkungan, maupun kebangsaan sehingga menjadi manusia insan kamil. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana sistem penanaman nilai karakter yang dibangun sekolah alam berbasis alam dan agama serta mendeskripsikan proses penanaman nilai pendidikan karakter pada sekolah alam berbasis alam dan agama. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus dengan metode penelitian kualitatif. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi dengan subjek penelitian Pemilik Yayasan SD Alam Tangerang Mekar Bakti, Kepala Sekolah SD Alam Tangerang Mekar Bakti yaitu Ibu Maya, waka Kurikulum dan waka kesiswaan yaitu Bapak Saefullah, 3 orang wali kelas yaitu Ibu Hamidah dan Ibu Imelda, 2 Guru mata pelajaran, dan 3 wali murid sebagai informan kunci yaitu Ibu Eviera dan Ibu Elin. Lokasi penelitian dilakukan di SD Alam Tangerang Mekar Bakti pada bulan September 2020 hingga Januari 2021. Hasil temuan yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini. Pertama, sistem penanaman nilai karakter yang berbasis alam dan agama baik di luar kelas dan di dalam kelas mencerminkan bahwa perilaku yang religius menjadi pedoman dalam akademik maupun akhlak, seperti membaca Qur’an bersama, shalat dhuha bersama, dan mengucapkan alhamdulilah setiap mendapatkan nikmat. Kedua, untuk melihat proses penanaman nilai karakter berbasis alam dan agama bisa dilihat dalam proses interaksi warga sekolah di SD Alam Tangerang Mekar Bakti, baik guru menerapkan disiplin, tanggung jawab, bekerja sama, saling menghargai, dan selalu mengucapkan salam ketika bertemu seseorang. Kegiatan ekstrakurikuler pun mendukung bagi proses penanaman nilai karakter seperti tahsin dan tahfidz, market day untuk bisa belajar memasarkan barang. Penelitian ini menggunakan konsep pendidikan karakter dari Sri Narwanti, Barmawi, dan Nadlifah. Menggunakan konsep pendidikan karakter berbasis alam dari Badan Penelitian dan Pengembangan Pendidikan, menggunakan konsep pendidikan karakter berbasis agama dari Anas Salahuddin, dan menggunakan konsep budaya sekolah dari Departemen Pendidikan Nasional. Ada beberapa hambatan dalam penanaman nilai karakter diantaranya, kemampuan role model dalam mendidik siswa dan kerja sama sekolah dengan orangtua peserta didik, apa yang sudah diterapkan di sekolah, ketika dirumah tidak dilaksanakan dengan semestinya. Character education is a system of inculcating character values to school members which includes components of knowledge, awareness or willingness, and actions to carry out these values, both towards God Almighty, self, neighbor, environment, and nationality so that they become human human beings. The purpose of this study was to describe the system of character value cultivation and the process of planting character education values based on nature and religion by looking at the concept of nature-based character education from the Research and Development Agency for Religion-Based Character Education and Character Education. This research uses qualitative research methods, with a case study approach. Using the concept of character education from Sri Narwanti, Barmawi, and Nadlifah. Using the nature-based character education concept from the Education Research and Development Agency, using the religious-based character education concept from Anas Salahuddin, and using the concept of school culture from the Ministry of National Education. The research data was obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation with the research subjects of the owner of the SD Alam Tangerang Mekar Bakti Foundation, the Principal of SD Alam Tangerang Mekar Bakti, the Curriculum and Waka student, 3 homeroom teachers, 2 subject teachers, and 3 guardians of students as key informant. The research location was conducted at SD Alam Tangerang Mekar Bakti from September 2020 to January 2021. The findings obtained in this study. First, the system of inculcating character values based on nature and religion both outside the classroom and inside the classroom reflects that religious behavior guides academically and morally, such as reading the Qur'an together, praying dhuha together, and saying alhamdulilah every time you get a blessing. Second, to see the process of instilling character values based on nature and religion, it can be seen in the interaction process of school residents at SD Alam Tangerang Mekar Bakti, whether teachers apply discipline, responsibility, cooperate, respect each other, and always say greetings when meeting someone. Extracurricular activities also support the process of cultivating character values such as tahsin and tahfidz, market day to be able to learn to market goods. There are several obstacles in cultivating character values including, the ability to role models in educating students and school cooperation with parents of students, what has been implemented in school, when at home it is not implemented properly, Keywords: Character Education, School Culture, Nature-Based Education and Religion
