Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana proses ekranisasi berupa penciutan, penambahan dan perubahan bervariasi pada unsur fakta cerita yaitu alur, latar dan tokoh novel Aruna dan Lidahnya karya Laksmi Pamuntjak ke dalam film Aruna dan Lidahnya yang disutradarai oleh Edwin. Teori yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu teori ekranisasi Pamusuk Eneste dengan pendekatan struktural Robert Stanton, khususnya fakta cerita. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Data yang berhasil didapatkan pada proses ekranisasi sebanyak 26 data. Proses penciutan ditemukan sebanyak 10 data. Proses penambahan ditemukan sebanyak 10 data. Proses penambahan bervariasi ditemukan sebanyak 6 data. Secara umum, novel ini memiliki dua inti cerita, yaitu perjalanan investigasi kasus flu unggas Aruna dan Farish dan perjalanan kuliner Aruna, Bono dan Nadezhda. Dua inti cerita itu dilakukan bersamaan sehingga menjadi satu alur yang berkesinambungan. Cerita perjalanan kuliner Aruna yang lebih banyak mengalami penciutan, karena keterbatasan latar yang digunakan dalam film. Novel maupun film ADL memiliki klimaks yang sama yaitu ternyata pihak PWP2 telah melakukan tindakan kecurangan terhadap data yang ada. Cerita perjalanan kuliner Aruna dibumbui oleh kisah asmara Aruna dan Farish, lalu Bono dan Nadezhda memiliki klimaks sedikit berbeda. Dalam film, mereka menjalin hubungan spesial, sedangkan dalam novel tidak tetapi hanya tinggal bersama. Secara keseluruhan, esensi cerita yang disampaikan di novel tidak jauh berbeda ketika telah diadaptasi ke dalam film. Kata kunci: novel, film, struktural, fakta cerita, ekranisasi *********** This study aims to describe how the process of ecranization in the form of shrinking, adding and changing various elements of the facts of the story, namely the plot, setting and characters of the novel Aruna dan Lidahnya by Laksmi Pamuntjak into the film Aruna dan Lidahnya directed by Edwin. The theory used in this research is Pamusuk Eneste’s ecranization theory with Robert Stanton’s structural approach, especially of the facts of the story. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method. The data that were successfully obtained in the ecranization process were 26 data. The process of collapsing found as many as 10 data. The addition process found as many as 10 data. The addition process varied found as many as 6 data. In general, this novel has two core stories, namely the investigation journey of the avian flu cases of Aruna and Farish and the culinary journey of Aruna, Bono dan Nadezhda. The two core stories are carried out simultaneously so that they become one continuous plot. The story of Aruna’s culinary journey has experienced a lot of shrinkage, due to the limited setting used in the film. The novel and the ADL film have the same climax, which is that it turns out that PWP2 has committed fraud against the existing data. The story of Aruna’s culinary journey is spiced up by the romance of Aruna and Farish, then Bono and Nadezhda have a slightly different climax. In the film, they have a special relationship, while in the novel they don’t but just live together. Overall, the essence of the story conveyed in the novel is not much different when it has been adapted into a film. Keywords: novel, film, structural, story facts, ecranization
