Abstract

Ancaman bencana besar di Indonesia harus diiringi dengan kesadaran masyarakat akan bahaya bencana alam tersebut. Salah satu upaya dalam peningkatan kesadaran masyarakat dapat dilakukan melalui pendidikan materi mitigasi bencana pada mata pelajaran geografi. Penggunaan media pembelajaran akan sangat membantu peserta didik dalam memahami materi pelajaran yang diajarkan. Salah satu perkembangan teknologi yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai media pembelajaran adalah story maps dan google sites. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil belajar geografi pada materi mitigasi bencana ala menggunakan media story maps dan media google sites pada peserta didik kelas XI IPS di SMAN 50 Jakarta. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskrtiptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan eksperimen semu (quasi experiment). Desain penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pretest-posttest, nonequivalent multiple-group design. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah siswa Kelas XI IPS SMAN 50 Jakarta, dan sampel penelitian berjumlah 72 orang siswa. 36 siswa menggunakan media story maps dan 36 siswa lain menggunakan google sites. Penelitian dilakukan sebanyak empat kali pertemuan. Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan data, nilai posttest kelas story maps sebesar 84,86 dan nilai posttest kelas google sites sebesar 76,31. Dari hasil uji beda tidak berpasangan (independent sample t-test) pada taraf signifikansi 5% diperoleh nilai Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,00. Perbedaan yang signifikan terlihat pada submateri penanggulangan bencana melalui edukasi, kearifan lokal, dan pemanfaatan teknologi modern dengan selisih nilai pretest-posttest yang menjawab benar pada kelas story maps sebesar 82 sedangkan selisih nilai pretest-posttest yang menjawab benar pada kelas google sites sebesar 56. ********** The threat of big disasters in Indonesia must be accompanied by public awareness of the dangers of these natural disasters. One of the efforts to increase public awareness can be made through disaster mitigation materials education in geography subjects. The use of learning media will greatly help students in understanding the subject matter being taught. One of the technological developments that can be used as learning media is story maps and google sites. This study aims to determine whether there is a significant difference between the results of learning geography on disaster mitigation materials using story maps and google sites for students of class XI IPS at SMAN 50 Jakarta. The research method used in this study is a quantitative descriptive method with a quasi-experimental approach. The research design used in this study used a pretest-posttest, nonequivalent multiple-group design. The population in this study were students of class XI IPS SMAN 50 Jakarta, and the research sample amounted to 72 students. 36 students used story maps and 36 other students used google sites. The research is done within four meetings. Based on the results of data processing, the posttest value for the story maps class was 84.86 and the posttest value for the google sites class was 76.31. From the results of the unpaired difference test (independent sample t-test) at a significance level of 5%, the Sig value was obtained. (2-tailed) of 0.00. Significant differences can be seen in the sub-materials of disaster management through education, local wisdom, and the use of modern technology with the difference in the pretest-posttest scores for those who answered correctly in the story maps class was 82 while the difference in the pretest-posttest scores of those who answered correctly in the google sites class was 56.
