Abstract

Media sosial merupakan media komunikasi dan penyebaran informasi di era modern. Informasi yang berada di media sosial bisa menyebar dengan mudah dan cepat. Kemudahan ini sering kali dimanfaatkan oleh oknum-oknum tertentu untuk menyebarkan paham ekstrimisme dan terorisme di media sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis upaya akun peace generation dalam menjaga moderasi beragama di media sosial dan faktor pendukung dan penghambat Peace Generation dalam menjaga moderasi beragama di media sosial. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan menggunakan jenis penelitian studi pustaka dalam pengambilan data. Sumber data diperoleh dari hasil dokumentasi dan wawancara. Penelitian ini menggunakan segala macam bentuk dokumentasi baik berupa gambar, tulisan, video di media sosial Peace Generation sebagai bahan untuk analisis dan mendapatkan data. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sebagai salah satu akun yang memiliki banyak pengikut di media sosial, dibutuhkan beberapa upaya agar pesan bisa tersampaikan dengan baik. Beberapa upaya yang dilakukan oleh akun Peace Generation dalam menjaga moderasi beragama di media sosial adalah menciptakan ruang literasi media sosial mengenai pencegahan ekstrimisme, memberikan konten edukasi mengenai toleransi dan keberagaman, mengadakan program yang berkaitan dengan moderasi beragama, penyebaran pesan-pesan damai dan anti-kekerasan, optimalisasi media sosial, melakukan kolaborasi dengan organisasi yang juga fokus pada perdamaian, moderasi, dan sejenisnya. Kata Kunci: Peace Generation, Moderasi Beragama, Media Sosial ABSTRACT This Social media is a medium of communication and dissemination of information in the modern era. Information on social media can be spread easily and quickly. This facility is often used by certain individuals to spread the notion of extremism and terrorism on social media. This study aims to analyze the efforts of a peace generation account in maintaining religious moderation on social media and the supporting and inhibiting factors for Peace Generation in maintaining religious moderation on social media. This research uses descriptive qualitative research using literature study research in data retrieval. Sources of data obtained from the results of documentation and interviews. This study uses all forms of documentation in the form of pictures, writings, videos on Peace Generation social media as materials for analysis and data collection. The results of this study indicate that as an account that has many followers on social media, it takes several efforts so that the message can be conveyed properly. Some of the efforts made by the Peace Generation account in maintaining religious moderation on social media are creating social media literacy spaces on prevention of extremism, providing educational content on tolerance and diversity, holding programs related to religious moderation, spreading messages of peace and non-violence. , social media optimization, collaborating with organizations that also focus on peace, moderation, and the like.
