Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran tentang unsur-unsur intrinsik dalam novel “Asy-Syahhaadz” karya Naguib Mahfouz. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif dengan analisis isi. Teknik yang digunakan peneliti adalah teknik membaca dan mencatat dengan tahapan mengidentifikasi, mengklasifikasi dan menjelaskan masalah penelitian. Penelitian ini berfokus pada unsur internal dalam novel “Asy-Syahhaadz” karya Naguib Mahfouz. Alat yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teks novel “Asy-Syahhaadz” karya Naguib Mahfouz, dan dalam penelitian ini peneliti memiliki peran utama dalam melakukan penelitian ini, dan peneliti juga menggunakan tabel yang berisi kalimat-kalimat dalam novel tersebut yang termasuk dalam kategori unsur-unsur intrinsik yaitu subjek, alur, dan tokoh, latar, dan amanat. Hasil analisis peneliti, tema utama novel tersebut adalah sosial-politik, kemudian cerita juga berkembang dalam tema percintaan. Alur dalam novel ini adalah alur depan dengan rangkaian peristiwa yang disusun secara kronologis dan klimaksnya di masa depan. Dalam novel ini terdapat 14 tokoh, 6 tokoh utama dan 8 tokoh tambahan. Latar tempat utama dalam novel ini adalah Kairo dan ada beberapa latar tempat yang disebutkan lebih spesifik. Latar Waktu yang digunakan dalam novel ini adalah masa setelah revolusi Mesir, yaitu setelah tahun 1952. Amanat dalam novel ini adalah kita harus selalu bersyukur atas nikmat Tuhan; Kita harus menghindari perselingkuhan; Setiap kali kita menghadapi masalah, kita harus meminta bantuan Tuhan; Kita harus selalu memperjuangkan kebenaran. ************** ABSTRACT This research aims to obtain a description of the internal elements in the novel "Asy-Syahhaadz" by Naguib Mahfouz. The method used in this research is a qualitative research method with content analysis. The technique used by the researcher is the technique of reading and taking notes with the stages of identifying, classifying and explaining the research problem. This research focuses on the internal elements in the novel "Asy-Syahhaadz" by Naguib Mahfouz. The tool used in this research is the text of the novel "Asy-Syahhaadz" by Naguib Mahfouz, and in this research, the researcher has the main role in conducting this research, and the researcher also uses a table that contains sentences in the novel that are included in the category of internal elements, namely the subject, plot, and character, environment, and message. As a result of the researcher's analysis, the main theme of the novel is socio-political, then the story also develops in the theme of romance. The plot in this novel is the front plot with a series of events arranged in chronological order and their climax in the future. In this novel there are 14 characters, 6 main characters and 8 additional characters. The main place environment in this novel is Cairo and there is some certain place environment. Environment The time used in this novel is the period after the Egyptian revolution, which was after 1952. The message in this novel is that we should always be thankful for God's blessing; We must avoid infidelity; Every time we encounter a problem, we must ask God for help; We must always fight for the truth.
