Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana proses identitas diri tokoh Kiki dan faktor yang mempengaruhinya dalam novel Majo no Takkyuubin. Penelitian ini merupakan analisis menggunakan pendekatan psikologi sastra. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian studi pustaka dengan teknik simak-catat untuk mengumpulkan data, kemudian data tersebut dianalisis menggunakan teori status identitas diri yang dikemukakan oleh James Marcia. Bedasarkan hasil penelitian dan analisis data yang dilakukan, ditemukan bahwa dalam proses menemukan identitas dirinya, tokoh Kiki mengalami seluruh proses identitas diri secara utuh. Pada awal cerita diceritakan bahwa Kiki sempat mengalami Identity Diffused dimana ia tadinya belum memutuskan menjadi penyihir seperti ibunya. Namun pada ulang tahunnya yang ke-13 ia mengalami apa yang disebut dengan Identity Foreclosure yaitu dimana ia memutuskan untuk menjadi penyihir karena dorongan dari ibunya. Pada kehidupan mandirinya ia mengalami Identity Moratorium sebelum akhirnya mencapai Identity Achievement. Kemudian faktor yang mempengaruhi proses identitas diri tokoh Kiki adalah gender, ekspektasi, etnisitas dan stereotip. The purpose of this study is to knowing how the process of self-identity of Kiki’s character and the factors that influence it in the novel Majo no Takkyuubin. This study is an analysis using a literary psychology approach. This study uses a literature study method with a note-taking technique to collect data, then the data is analyzed using the theory of self-identity status by James Marcia. Based on the results of research and data analysis conducted, that in the process of finding her identity, Kiki’s experienced the whole process of self-identity. At the beginning of the story, it is told that Kiki had experienced Identity Diffused where she had not yet decided to become a witch like her mother. But on her 13th birthday, she experienced what is called Identity Foreclosure, where she decided to become a witch because of her mother’s encouragement. In her independent life she experienced the Identity Moratorium before finally achieving Identity Achievement. Then the factors that influence the process of self-identity of Kiki’s character are gender, expectations, ethnicity and stereotypes.
