Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan kemampuan metakognitif peserta didik yang menggunakan strategi pembelajaran berbasis masalah berbantuan video animasi dan peserta didik yang menggunakan strategi pembelajaran berbasis masalah tanpa berbantuan video animasi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian pretest-posttest kontrol group design. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMA Labschool Cibubur, Jakarta Timur. Pada penelitian ini juga dilakukan teknik purposive sampling sehingga didapatkan kelas eksperimen dan kontrol, dimana kelas eksperimen diberi perlakuan berupa penerapan strategi pembelajaran berbasis masalah berbantuan video animasi dan kelas kontrol diberi perlakuan berupa penerapan strategi pembelajaran berbasis masalah tanpa berbantuan video animasi. Teknik analisa data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji gain ternormalisasi. Uji hipotesis yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adala uji t berpasangan (paired sample t-test). Pada uji hipotesis, diperoleh nilai thitung = 13,298. Sementara nilai ttabel pada penelitian ini adalah 1,669. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan metakognitif peserta didik kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi daripada kemampuan metakognitif peserta didik kelas kontrol. ************ This study aims to compare the metacognitive abilities of students who use problem-based learning strategies assisted by animated videos and students who use problem-based learning strategies without the aid of animated videos. This type of research is a quasi-experimental research with a pretest-posttest control group design. This research was conducted at SMA Labschool Cibubur, East Jakarta. In this study,was also carried out a purposive sampling technique to obtain experimental and kontrol classes, where the experimental class was treated in the form of applying problem-based learning strategies assisted by animated videos and the kontrol class was given treatment in the form of implementing problem-based learning strategies without the aid of animated videos. used in this study are normality test, homogeneity test, and normalized gain test. The hypothesis test used in this study is a paired sample t-test. In testing the hypothesis, the value of tcount = -3.794. While the value of ttable in this study is 1.669. So it can be concluded that the metacognitive ability of students who use problem-based learning strategies without the aid of animated videos is higher than the metacognitive abilities of students who use problem-based learning strategies assisted by animated videos.
