Abstract

Abstrak Penciptaan karya tari ini bertujuan mempresentasikan konsep dari karya tari Bekumbo berdasarkan latar belakang dan deskripsi yang ada. Karya tari ini menceritakan tentang Ritual Adat Pernikahan Mandi Taman Suku Melayu dan dipercaya sebagai tolak bala atau malapetaka yang akan datang pada pengantin baru untuk memulai kehidupan sebagai suami dan istri. Adat ini juga sebagai ucapan syukur dan terimakasih atas terselenggaranya Resepsi Pernikahan yang telah sukses dilaksanakan. Menggunakan Metode Penciptaan Alma M. Hawkins dalam bukunya yang berjudul Moving From Within : A New Method of Dance Creation atau “Bergerak Menurut Kata Hati” terjemahan I Wayan Dibia. Proses mengalami atau mengungkapkan, melihat, merasakan, mengkhayalkan, mengejawantahkan dan pembentukkan. Karya Tari dipentaskan secara daring dikarenakan masih dalam situasi pandemi. Kata Kunci :Suku Melayu, Bekumbo, Ritual Adat. *************** Abstract The creation of this dance work aims to present the concept of the Bekumbo dance work based on the existing background and description. This dance work tells the story of the Taman Melayu Tribal Wedding Ritual and is believed to be a repel of impending doom or calamity in a new marriage to start life as husband and wife. This custom is also an expression of gratitude and thanks for the successful implementation of the Wedding Reception. Using the Creation Method Alma M. Hawkins in his book, Moving From Within: A New Method of Dance Creation or "Moving According to Your Heart" translation by I Wayan Dibia. The process of experiencing or expressing, seeing, feeling, imagining, manifesting and forming. The dance work was performed boldly because it was still in a pandemic situation.. Keywords: Malay Tribe, Bekumbo, Traditional Ritual.
