Abstract

ABSTRAK Clara Dwi Yanti. Konsep Adab dalam Pemikiran Pendidikan Syed Muhammad Naquib Al-Attas. Skripsi. Program Studi Pendidikan Sosiologi. Fakultas Ilmu Sosial. Universitas Negeri Jakarta. 2021. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan konsep adab yang dicetuskan oleh Syed Muhammad Naquib Al-Attas. Penelitian ini juga akan menjelaskan urgensi penerapan konsep adab dalam pendidikan di era modern serta memaparkan implikasi dari penerapan konsep adab dalam konteks kurikulum, kualifikasi guru, metode belajar dan evaluasi pembelajaran. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode studi kepustakaan. Sumber data berasal dari sumber primer berupa karya asli Prof Al-Attas dan sumber sekunder berupa penelitian sejenis yang relevan. Waktu penelitian dilakukan awal Januari 2019 sampai Juli 2021. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dengan dokumentasi data. Berdasarkan hasil temuan, adab merupakan konsep kunci utama dalam pendidikan Islam dan bersifat aplikatif. Penerapan pendidikan adab di era modern memiliki urgensi tinggi mengingat kondisi output pendidikan yang belum mencapai tujuan pendidikan nasional. Konsep pendidikan adab merupakan bentuk dari teori pendidikan moral yang dirumuskan oleh Emile Durkheim. Implikasi dari pendidikan adab dapat dilihat melalui aspek kurikulum, kualifikasi guru, metode belajar, dan evaluasi pembelajaran. Sociology Education Study Program. Faculty of Social Science. The State University of Jakarta. 2021. This study aims to describe the concept of adab which was coined by Syed Muhammad Naquib Al-Attas. This study will also explain the urgency of applying the concept of adab in education in the modern era as well as explaining the implications of applying the concept of adab in the context of the curriculum, teacher qualifications, learning methods, and learning evaluation. The method used in this research is the literature study method. Sources of data come from primary sources in the form of the original work of Prof. Al-Attas and secondary sources in the form of relevant similar research. The time of the research was carried out from early January 2019 to July 2021. The data collection technique was carried out with data documentation. Based on the findings, adab is the main key concept in Islamic education and is applicable. The application of civilized education in the modern era has a high urgency given the condition of education output that has not yet reached the goals of national education. The concept of adab education is a form of moral education theory formulated by Emile Durkheim. The implications of adab education can be seen through aspects of the curriculum, teacher qualifications, learning methods, and learning evaluation.
