Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bentuk dan struktur Ballada De La Doncella Enamorada karya Leo Brouwer. Objek penelitian difokuskan pada bentuk dan struktur Ballada De La Doncella Enamorada karya Leo Brouwer. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik analisis konten dan pendekatan musikologi. Data diperoleh dengan studi dokumentasi, wawancara, dan studi pustaka. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan ialah reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penyimpulan data. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa karya ini berasal dari suita El Decameron Negro, yang merupakan suita Modern yang tidak berkesinambungan tiap gerakan, tetapi ditulis berdasarkan 1 cerita utama. Artinya tidak ada unsur program yang bersambung antar gerakan, melainkan memiliki cerita tersendiri. Ballada De La Doncella Enamorada menggambarkan putri kepala desa yang dihukum karena menjalin cinta dengan pejuang yang diasingkan. Pada gerakan ke-3 dari suita Brouwer ini berbentuk Rondo dengan struktur A (a-a’) – B (b-b’-y) – A (a) – C (c-c’) – A (a). Bagian A memiliki tonal D mayor dengan karakteristik yang lirikal dan tenang. Pada bagian B (b) terdapat petunjuk Piu Mosso yang berarti lebih bergerak. Bagian B (b’) masih mengandung tema dari bagian B (b), namun dengan variasi yang berbeda. Setelah bagian B (b’) berakhir, bagian A kembali diulang secara murni dan masuk ke bagian C dengan petunjuk Piu Mosso lagi. Pada bagian C (c) muncul tema-tema baru dengan tonal D mayor, yang kemudian divariasikan lagi pada bagian C (c’). Setelah bagian C (c’), karya ini kembali lagi ke bagian A secara murni. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, peneliti berharap agar pemain gitar klasik lebih memiliki pengetahuan tentang bentuk dan struktur, serta pengetahuan analisis interpretasi musik untuk menambah virtuositas dan musikalitas dalam memainkan karya musik. Hasil penelitian ini dapat berguna untuk mahasiswa mayor gitar prodi Pendidikan Musik Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Peneliti juga berharap adanya penyempurnaan pembahasan pada mata kuliah Bentuk dan Analisa pada program studi Pendidikan Musik Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Akan lebih baik jika pada pembelajaran mata kuliah tersebut digunakan tidak hanya untuk membahas karya pada zaman klasik, tetapi juga membahas bagaimana teknik-teknik komposisi pada karya modern serta rujukannya terhadap karya zaman klasik. *********** The purpose of this research is to know the musical form of the Ballada De La Doncella Enamorada by Leo Brouwer. The object of this research is focused on the musical form of Leo Brouwer's Ballada De La Doncella Enamorada. This study uses descriptive qualitative methods with content analysis techniques and musicology approaches. Data obtained by documentation study, interviews, and literature study. Data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and data conclusion. The results of this study indicate that this piece comes from the El Decameron Negro Suite, which was a Modern suite that does not have a continuity of each movement, but is based on one main story. This means that there are no program elements that are continuous between movements, but rather have their own stories. This ballad depicts the daughter of a village chief who is convicted of having a love affair with an exiled warrior. This work is in the form of Rondo with the structure A (a-a') - B (b-b'-y) - A (a) - C (c-c') - A (a). Part A has a D major tonal with lyrical and calm characteristics. Part B (b) has the clue Piu Mosso which means more moving. Part B (b') still contains the themes from part B (b) but with variations. After the end of B part, this piece goes back to A and immediately enters part C with Piu Mosso's instruction again. In part C (c) new themes appear with D major tonal, which are then varied in part C (c'). After that, return to part A purely. Based on the results of this study, the researcher hopes that classical guitarists will have more knowledge about musical forms and interpretation, as well as knowledge of music analysis to increase virtuosity and musicality in playing musical pieces. The results of this study can also be useful for guitar major students in the Music Education Study Program, State University of Jakarta. The researcher also hopes that there will be an improvement in the discussion in the Forms and Analysis course in the Music Education study program, State University of Jakarta. It would be better if the course is not only to discuss about classical works, but also compositional techniques in modern works and their references to classical works.
