Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana lirik lagu yang digunakan oleh guru Sekolah Menengah pertama (SMP) memenuhi kriteria lirik lagu sebagai materi otentik yang layak dan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana Lyricstraining sebagai platform pembelajaran untuk lirik lagu mendukung keterampilan literasi digital siswa. Dengan ini, peneliti mengumpulkan data dari 25 lirik lagu yang digunakan oleh guru Sekolah Menengah Pertama dan situs Lyricstraining. Peneliti menggunakan metode analisis isi kualitatif untuk mencapai tujuan penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari 25 lirik lagu, hanya 3 lirik lagu yang memenuhi semua indikator, 12 lirik lagu hanya memenuhi lima dari enam indikator, 6 lirik lagu hanya memenuhi empat dari enam indikator, 3 lirik lagu hanya memenuhi tiga dari enam indikator, dan 1 lirik lagu hanya memenuhi dua dari enam indikator. Sebagian besar lirik lagu tidak memenuhi kriteria dalam hal penggunaan kosakata sehari-hari atau slang. Didapatkan juga hasil penelitian bahwa Lyricstraining terdiri dari lima dari sebelas karakteristik literasi digital. *********** This study aims to find out how the song lyrics used by junior high school teachers meet the criteria of song lyrics as an appropriate authentic learning material and to find out to what extent does Lyricstraining as learning platform for song lyrics supports students’ digital literacy skills. For this purpose, the data were collected from 25 song lyrics used by junior high school teachers and the website Lyricstraining. The researcher uses a qualitative content analysis method to obtain the objective of the study. The result shows that from 25 song lyrics, only 3 song lyrics fulfil all indicators of the criteria, 12 song lyrics only fulfil five out of six indicators of the criteria, 6 song lyrics only fulfil four out of six indicators of the criteria, 3 song lyrics only fulfil three out of six indicators of the criteria, and 1 song lyric only fulfils two out of six indicators of the criteria. Most song lyrics are not in line with the criteria in terms of its use of colloquial vocabularies. It is also revealed that Lyricstraining only comprises five out of eleven digital literacy characteristics which focuses on individual activity and communication.
