Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran kepemimpinan kepala sekolah sebagai educator, manajer, administrator, supervisor, leader, inovator, dan motivator dalam meningkatkan komitmen guru, komitmen guru dilihat dari segi dimensi komitmen organisasi, dan peran kepemimpinan kepala sekolah yang lebih dominan dalam meningkatkan komitmen guru. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SLBS Dian Kahuripan pada bulan November hingga Juli 2021. Informan penelitian adalah kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah dan guru. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan melalui reduksi data, display data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) peran kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan komitmen guru, sebagai educator kepala sekolah memberikan pelatihan, bimbingan, serta sharing session. Sebagai manajer, kepala sekolah memberdayakan guru sesuai jumlah anak didik, mendelegasikan tugas, melakukan pengawasan PBM melalui video call whatsapp. Sebagai administrator, kepala sekolah mengelola keuangan dengan transparansi, pengelolaan dokumen melalui staf operator sekolah, merancang program pembelajaran. Sebagai supervisor, melakukan pembinaan kedisiplinan, mengadakan rapat untuk membahas permasalahan pembelajaran, mengadakan rapat evaluasi KBM. Sebagai leader, mengajak guru refreshing, menciptakan suasana keterbukaan, memfasilitasi kebutuhan mengajar guru, menjadi teladan yang baik, komunikasi dua arah. Sebagai inovator, sharing ilmu dan metode pembelajaran terbaru, mengembangkan model pembelajaran inovatif. Sebagai motivator, prinsip kekeluargaan, pemberian semangat verbal, bersikap optimis. (2) Komitmen guru dilihat dari dimensi komitmen afektif, guru loyal, ikhlas, rela, bertanggung jawab, penuh semangat dalam bekerja. Komitmen kontinyu, guru adalah panggilan hidup, cinta pekerjaan, dan menilai dengan hati. Komitmen normatif, guru antusias, kemauan mengajar tinggi, berupaya memajukan sekolah. (3) Peran kepemimpinan kepala sekolah yang lebih dominan dalam meningkatkan komitmen guru adalah sebagai educator, manajer, supervisor dan leader. This study aims to determine the leadership role of school principals as educators, managers, administrators, supervisors, leaders, innovators, and motivators in increasing teacher commitment, teacher commitment in terms of the dimensions of organizational commitment, and the dominant role of principal leadership in increasing teacher commitment. The research was conducted with a qualitative descriptive approach. This research was conducted at SLBS Dian Kahuripan from November to July 2021. The research informants were the principal, vice principal and teachers. Data collection techniques used interviews, observations, and documentation studies. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results showed that: (1) the leadership role of the principal in increasing teacher commitment, as an educator the principal provided training, guidance, and sharing sessions. As a manager, the principal empowers teachers according to the number of students, delegates tasks, supervises the teaching and learning process through whatsapp video calls. As administrator, the principal manages finances with transparency, manages documents through school staff, designs learning programs. As a supervisor, conduct disciplinary development, hold meetings to discuss learning problems, hold evaluation meetings for Teaching and Learning Activities. As a leader, he invites teachers to refresh, creates an atmosphere of openness, facilitates the teaching needs of teachers, becomes a good role model, and has two-way communication. As an innovator, sharing knowledge and the latest learning methods, developing innovative learning models. As a motivator, the principle of kinship, giving verbal encouragement, being optimistic. (2) Teacher commitment is seen from the dimensions of affective commitment, teachers are loyal, sincere, willing, responsible, full of enthusiasm at work. Continuous commitment, teacher is a calling in life, love work, and judge by heart. Normative commitment, enthusiastic teachers, high willingness to teach, trying to advance the school. (3) The more dominant leadership role of the principal in increasing teacher commitment is as an educator, manager, supervisor and leader.
