Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan kapasitas diri untuk menerapkan strategi pengelolaan sekolah yang bermutu. Hal ini berkaitan penting dengan peran, tugas dan fungsi kepala sekolah dalam melakukan manajemen sekolah. Oleh sebab itu, perlu dikaji lebih lanjut untuk melihat strategi kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kualitas pengelolaan sekolah. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMA Negeri 4 Cibinong, Kabupaten Bogor, Jawa Barat. Adapun metodologi yang digunakan yaitu dengan metode studi kasus (case study method) yang bertujuan untuk peneliti menggali segala hal yang berkaitan dengan SMA Negeri 4 Cibinong, hal-hal tersebut berupa: profil sekolah dan daya dukung serta keunggulan yang dimiliki oleh SMA Negeri 4 Cibinong. Lebih lanjut, penelitian ini juga mengunakan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Dengan demikian, hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa SMA Negeri 4 Cibinong memiliki peran aktif dan dapat membangun sinergi bersama masyarakat agar menunjang keberhasilan program sekolah secara kontinu dan berkesinambungan, terus melakukan perbaikan dan evaluasi secara berkala dan melaporkan kendala yang dihadapi oleh kepala sekolah. Dengan begitu, citra SMA Negeri 4 Cibinong di mata masyarakat sangat baik sehingga menyebabkan sekolah mengalami kemajuan yang signifikan dalam proses pengelolaan sekolah. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan adanya keterlibatan semua unsur pendidikan (internal dan eksternal) dalam mencapai visi dan misi sekolah. Adapun strategi yang membuat SMA Negeri 4 Cibinong mengalami kemajuan yang pesat dalam menerapkan pengelolaan sekolah yang efektif, antara lain: 1). Sinergi yang positif antara orang tua siswa SMA Negeri 4 Cibinong yang diwakili komite sekolah dalam pelaksanaan program sekolah yang terkait dengan sosialisasi seleksi masuk perguruan tinggi negeri agar dapat mengetahui informasi lebih banyak dari ikatan alumni SMA Negeri 4 Cibinong yang sudah diterima di PTN; 2). Gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam mengelola program sekolah sehingga SMA Negeri 4 Cibinong mengalami peningkatan kualitas pendidikan yang bermutu dengan menerapkan kegiatan sekolah yang bersinergi dengan pihak perusahaan yang menyediakan jasa layanan pendidikan (Ruang Guru) yang ditunjang dengan penguatan dari komite sekolah sehingga siswa kelas XII SMA Negeri 4 Cibinong. Kata Kunci: Strategi, Kepala Sekolah, Kualitas Pengelolaan Sekolah This study aims to increase self-capacity to implement quality school management strategies. This is closely related to the role, duties and functions of the principal in carrying out school management. Therefore, it is necessary to study further to see the principal's strategy in improving the quality of school management. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 4 Cibinong, Bogor Regency, West Java. The methodology used is the case study method, which aims for researchers to explore all things related to SMA Negeri 4 Cibinong, these are: school profiles and the carrying capacity and advantages of SMA Negeri 4 Cibinong. Furthermore, this study also uses data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observations, and documentation studies. Thus, the results of this study indicate that SMA Negeri 4 Cibinong has an active role and can build synergies with the community in order to support the success of the school program continuously and continuously and continue to make improvements and evaluations on a regular basis and report the obstacles faced by the principal. That way, the image of SMA Negeri 4 Cibinong in the eyes of the community is very good, causing the school to make significant progress in the school management process. This is evidenced by the involvement of all elements of education (internal and external) in achieving the school's vision and mission. The strategies that make SMA Negeri 4 Cibinong progress rapidly in implementing effective school management include: 1). Positive synergy between parents of students of SMA Negeri 4 Cibinong represented by the school committee in the implementation of school programs related to the socialization of the selection for admission to state universities so that they can find out more information from the alumni association of SMA Negeri 4 Cibinong who have been accepted at PTN, 2). The principal's leadership style in managing school programs so that SMA Negeri 4 Cibinong experiences an increase in the quality of quality education by implementing school activities that synergize with the company that provides educational services (Teacher Room) which is supported by strengthening from the school committee so that class XII students of SMA Negeri 4 Cibinong.
