Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara self-compassion dan kesepian pada remaja di DKI Jakarta saat pandemik Covid-19. Pendekatan pada penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Self-Compassion Scale (SCS) yang disusun oleh Kristin Neff dan De Jong Gierveld Loneliness Scale (DJGLS) yang disusun oleh De Jong Gierveld. Pada penelitian ini, sampel berjumlah 500 orang remaja yang berusia 12-21 tahun dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan uji bivariate pearson correlation untuk pengujian hipotesis. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang negatif signifikan antara self-compassion dan kesepian. Artinya, semakin tinggi self-compassion maka akan semakin rendah kesepian. Begitu pun sebaliknya, semakin rendah self-compassion maka akan semakin tinggi kesepian. This research aimed to determine the relationship between self-compassion and loneliness of adolescent in DKI Jakarta during the Covid-19 pandemic. The approach of this research is quantitative. The measuring instruments used in this study were The Self-Compassion Scale (SCS) compiled by Kristin Neff, and De Jong Gierveld Loneliness Scale compiled by De Jong Gierveld. Sample totaling 500 participants aged between 12-21 years old, were selected by purposive sampling. This study used a bivariate pearson correlation for hyppthesis testing. The results show that there are significant negative relationship between self-compassion and loneliness. That’s means, the higher of self-compassion then the lower of loneliness. In contrast, the lower of self-compassion then the higher of loneliness.
