Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh deskripsi yang jelas tentang macam-macam nilai moral yang terkandung di dalam novel “Al Karnak” karya Najib Mahfudz. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode analisis deskriptif kualitatif melalui analisis isi. Penelitian ini difokuskan pada nilai-nilai moral yang terdapat pada novel “Al Karnak”. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah peneliti dibantu dengan tabel klasifikasi yang berisi tiga tabel klasifikasi yang berisi tiga macam nilai-nilai moral yaitu, nilai moral manusia dengan dirinya sendiri, nilai moral manusia dengan manusia yang lain, dan nilai moral manusia dengan lingkungan sosial atau alam. Nilai-nilai moral yang terdapat dalam novel “Al Karnak” adalah sebagai berikut: nilai moral manusia dengan dirinya sendiri terdapat 12 ungkapan, nilai moral manusia dengan manusia yang lain terdapat 8 ungkapan, dan nilai moral manusia dengan lingkungan sosial atau alam tidak ada. Peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa nilai-nilai moral yang banyak ditemukan di dalam novel “Al Karnak” karya Najib Mahfudz adalah nilai moral manusia dengan dirinya sendiri, karena terdapat 12 nilai moral dari 20 nilai moral. ********** This study aims to obtain a clear description of the various moral values contained in the novel “Al Karnak” by Najib Mahfudz. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative analysis method through content analysis. This research is focused on the moral values contained in the novel “Al Karnak”. The instrument of this research is the researcher assisted by a classification table which contains three classification tables which include the moral values of humans with themselves, the moral values of humans with other humans, and the moral values of humans with the social or natural environment. The researcher concludes that the moral values found in the novel “Al Karnak” by Najib Mahfudz are the moral values of humans with themselves, because there are 12 moral values out of 20 moral values.
