Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Tipe Kepribadian Big Five Terhadap Pembelian Impulsif Pada Mahasiswa yang berbelanja di Tokopedia. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif. Sampel pada penelitian ini berjumlah 118 orang yang dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua alat ukur, yaitu Instrumen Big Five Inventory yang disusun oleh Neila Ramdhani (2012) untuk mengukur trait big five dan The Impulse Buying Tendency Scale yang disusun oleh Verplanken dan Herabadi (2001) untuk mengukur pembelian impulsif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa trait conscientiousness dan neuroticism memiliki pengaruh terhadap pembelian impulsif, sedangkan trait extraversion, agreeableness, dan openness to experience tidak memiliki pengaruh terhadap pembelian impulsif. Sementara itu, tipe kepribadian big five berpengaruh secara simultan terhadap pembelian impulsif dengan nilai r sebesar 0,188. This study is conducted to determine the effect of the Big Five Personality on Impulsive Buying in Students who shop at Tokopedia. The research method used is a quantitative method. The sample in this study amounted to 118 people who were selected using purposive sampling technique. This study uses two instruments, namely the Big Five Inventory Instrument compiled by Neila Ramdhani (2012) to measure the trait of big five and The Impulse Buying Tendency Scale compiled by Verplanken and Herabadi (2001) to measure impulse buying. The results showed that the conscientiousness and neuroticism traits had an effect on impulse buying, while the extraversion, agreeableness, and openness to experience traits had no effect on impulsive buying. Meanwhile, the big five personality type has a simultaneous effect on impulse buying with an r value of 0.188.
