Abstract

Seiring berkembangnya zaman, jumlah perempuan yang melakukan kejahatan khususnya pembunuhan berencana mengalami peningkatan. Bergesernya nilai atau stereotip tentang perempuan membuat perempuan memiliki peluang yang sama dengan laki-laki dalam tindak pembunuhan. Terdapat faktor emosi yang berperan dalam tindak pembunuhan, dimana pelakunya mengalami emosi negatif yang tidak teregulasi dengan baik sehingga mendorong perilaku impulsif atau maladaptif seperti pembunuhan berencana. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana dinamika regulasi emosi perempuan pelaku pembunuhan sebelum, sesaat, dan sesudah melakukan pembunuhan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara semi terstruktur dan observasi. Subjek dalam penelitian kali ini adalah seorang perempuan pelaku pembunuhan yang menjadi warga binaan di Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Perempuan Klas IIA Jakarta. Data penelitian yang diperoleh dilengkapi dengan data dari significant others serta dokumen resmi dari kepolisian berupa berkas perkara kasus dan hasil pemeriksaan psikologis subjek. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa subjek memiliki regulasi emosi yang buruk, khususnya terkait strategi regulasi emosinya. Subjek menunjukkan kecenderungan melakukan expressive suppression sebagai strategi regulasi emosi dibandingkan cognitive reappraisal. Hal tersebut membuat proses regulasi emosinya tidak berjalan dengan baik dan menghasilkan outcomes dalam bentuk tindakan agresi yaitu pembunuhan. Along with times, the number of women who commit crimes, especially premeditated murder, has increased. Shifting values or stereotypes about women make them have the same opportunities as men in the act of murder. There are emotional factors that play a role in the act of murder, where the perpetrator experiences negative emotions that are poorly regulated so it stimulates impulsive or maladaptive behavior such as premeditated murder. The purpose of this study is to describe the emotional regulation dynamics of female murderers before, during, and after committing a murder. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. The data collection used is semi-structured interviews and observation. The subject in this study is a female murderer who is an inmate at the Class IIA Women's Penitentiary in Jakarta. The obtained research data is complemented by data from significant others as well as police documents in the form of case files and the results of the psychological test of the subject. The results of this study indicate the subject has poor emotional regulation strategies. The subject showed a tendency to perform expressive suppression as an emotion regulation strategy compared to cognitive reappraisal. This makes the emotion regulation process not run well and produces outcomes in the form of aggression, specifically murder.
