Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh konformitas teman sebaya terhadap perilaku konsumtif pembelian produk skincare lokal pada mahasiswi di DKI Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan tipe penelitian kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswi berusia 18-21 tahun yang menggunakan atau membeli produk skincare lokal. Sampel yang diambil berjumlah 209 responden. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan non probability sampling dan jenis tekniknya adalah purposive sampling. Uji analisis statistik yang digunakan untuk menguji hipotesis adalah analisis regresi linear sederhana. Berdasarkan uji hipotesis pada penelitian ini, hasil menunjukkan bahwa F hitung = 73.504 > F tabel = 3.89 dan nilai p = 0.000 < α = 0.05. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan jika konformitas teman sebaya berpengaruh secara positif dan signifikan terhadap perilaku konsumtif pembelian produk skincare lokal pada mahasiswi di DKI Jakarta. Perilaku konsumtif dipengaruhi oleh konformitas teman sebaya sebesar 26.2% sedangkan sisanya 73.8% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain di luar penelitian ini. This research was aimed to determine the impact of peer conformity on the consumptive behaviour of purchasing local skincare products in students in DKI Jakarta. The research method used is quantitative. This research subject is 209 respondents of 18-21 years old students who used or purchased local skincare products. The sample was conducted by the purposive sampling method. The statistical analysis test used to test hypothesis is simple linear regression analysis. Based on the hypothesis test in this study, the results showed that F count = 73,504 > F table = 3.89 and value p = 0.000 < α = 0.05. The results showed that peer conformity positively and significantly influenced the consumption of local skincare products in students in DKI Jakarta. Consumptive behaviour are influenced by peer conformity by 26.2%, while other variables outside of this study influenced the remaining 73.8%.
