Abstract
This research was conducted to determine the correlation between gratitude and stress of the college students in Jakarta during the COVID-19 pandemic. The type of this research is quantitative research. Gratitude variable was measured by using GQ-6 (The Gratitude Questionnaire-Six Item Form) which designed by McCullough, Emmons, & Tsang (2002), and stress variable was measured by using HSCL-25 (Hopkins Symptoms Checklist-25) which designed by Derogatis, Lipman, Rickets, Uhlenhuth dan Covi (1974). The total amount subject in this research is 245 college students in accordance with the research criteria using purposive sampling technique. Result showed that there is no significant correlation between gratitude span dimension and stress (ρ = 0.077). But, there is significant correlation between gratitude intensity dimension and stress (ρ = 0.013), significant correlation between gratitude frequency dimension and stress (ρ = 0.00) and significant correlation between gratitude density dimension and stress (ρ = 0.019).
