Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh self-efficacy terhadap academic engagement pada mahasiswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran jarak jauh di masa pandemi COVID-19. Peneliti melakukan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode survei accidental sampling dan dikumpulkan dengan penyebaran kuesioner. Digunakan instrumen UWES-S untuk mengukur academic engagement, dan GSES untuk mengukur self-efficacy. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 298 responden. Hasil penelitian diperoleh terdapat pengaruh self-efficacy terhadap academic engagement pada mahasiswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran jarak jauh di masa pandemi COVID-19. Nilai kontribusi self-efficacy terhadap academic engagement sebesar 27,4%, sedangkan sisanya dipengaruhi variabel yang tidak diteliti. This research aims to determine the effect of self-efficacy on academic engagement in college students participating in the long distance learning during COVID-19 pandemic. This reserach uses a quantitive research with accidental sampling method and gathered by distributing questionnaire. Sample in this research were 298 respondents. The result of this research shows that the effect of self-efficacy on academic engagement is equal to 24,7%, whereas the rests are affected by variables that are not examined. 263 students (88.3%) had a high level of self-efficacy and 111 students (37.2%) had a high level of academic engagement. Accordingly, there is a positive effect of self-efficacy on academic engagement for students participating in the long distance learning during the COVID-19 pandemic.
