Abstract
This research aims to determine the relationship between emotional regulation and post power syndrome at the time of retirement. The research used quantitative approach with a survey as a method. The participant consisted of 95 employees, either private employees or civil servants. The instrument used to measure emotion regulation was Emotion Regulation Questionnaire and to measure Post Power Syndrome was post power syndrome Tendency. Statistical analysis used to test the hypothesis is the Pearson correlation test. The results of the correlation test for emotional regulation of cognitive reassessment with post power syndrome showed R-count -0.357 > r-table 0.202. The results of hypothesis 1: the p value shows 0.000 < 0.005, meaning that Ho1 is rejected, meaning that negative relationship between emotional regulation of reappraisal cognitive dimensions and post power syndrome at the time of retirement. The results of the correlation test of emotional regulation of the expressive dimension of suppression with post power syndrome showed R-count - 0.194 < r-table 0.202. Then, the results of hypothesis 2: the p value shows 0.059 > 0.005, meaning that Ho2 is accepted, meaning that no negative relationship between the emotional regulation of the expressive suppression dimension and post power syndrome at the time of retirement. This shows that the increase in emotional regulation of the cognitive dimension of reappraisal, the lower the post power syndrome at the time of retirement.
