Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran adaptabilitas karier lulusan baru. Sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 130 lulusan baru Universitas Negeri Jakarta Tahun 2020. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah convenience sampling. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah instrumen adaptabilitas karier yang diadaptasi dari Career Adapt-Abilities Scale yang dikembangkan oleh Savickas (2012). Instrumen tersebut terdapat 24 item setiap item pertanyaan memiliki lima poin skala, yaitu : Sangat Lemah (1), Lemah (2), Cukup Kuat (3), Kuat (4), Sangat Kuat (5) dan memiliki 4 dimensi yaitu kepedulian karier, pengendalian karier, keingintahuan karier dan keyakinan karier. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata skor adaptabilitas karier, yaitu pada kepedulian karier merupakan dimensi tertinggi (Mean = 4,40 dan SD = 0,80), sedangkan keyakinan karier merupakan dimensi yang paling rendah (Mean = 4,11 dan SD = 0,82). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa para lulusan baru sudah memiliki concern terhadap kariernya, namun pada dimensi keyakinan karier mereka masih belum yakin dan masih ragu dalam mengambil keputusan karier dan mencari solusi ketika sedang mengalami masalah atau hambatan dalam pekerjaanya, seperti dalam kondisi pandemi COVID-19. This study aims to describe the career adaptability of new graduates. The sample of this study amounted to 130 new graduates of the State University of Jakarta in 2020. The sampling technique used was convenience sampling. The data collection instrument used is a career adaptability instrument adapted from the Career Adapt-Abilities Scale developed by Savickas (2012). The instrument contains 24 items, each question item has a five-point scale, namely: Very Weak (1), Weak (2), Strong Enough (3), Strong (4), Very Strong (5) and has 4 dimensions, namely career concern, career control, career curiosity and career confidence. The results of this study indicate that the average career adaptability,namely career concern is the highest dimension (Mean = 4,40 and SD = 0,80), while career confidence is the lowest dimension (Mean = 4,11 and SD = 0,82) . It can be concluded that new graduates already have concerns about their careers, but in the dimension of career confidence they are still hesitant in making career decisions and finding solutions when they are facing problems or obstacles in their work, such as in the COVID-19 pandemic.
