Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan strategi koping yang dilakukan oleh petugas pemadam kebakaran yang berdinas di Dinas Pemadam Kebakaran Provinsi DKI Jakarta. Tipe penelitian berjenis deskriptif kuantitatif. Alat ukur variabel strategi koping yang digunakan adalah instrument Brief COPE dengan 28 butir item. Data yang terkumpul berjumlah 101 responden. Reliabilitas skala strategi koping adalah 0.767 yang dihitung menggunakan software SPSS dengan rumus Cronbach;s Alpha. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa petugas pemadam kebakaran yang berdinas di Dinas Pemadam Kebakaran Provinsi DKI Jakarta memiliki skor mean strategi koping yang cenderung tinggi yaitu 73.71. Aspek pembentuk yang paling berperan adalah Emotional-Focused Coping pada dimensi pembentuk aspek yang paling berperan adalah dimensi Religion This research aims to describe the coping strategies of firefighters serving in DKI Jakarta Provincial Fire Department. This type of research is descriptive quantitative. The measuring instrument for this coping strategies variable is using the instrument Brief COPE with 28 items. As many as 101 respond has been collected through data gathering. The reliability of this coping strategies scale is 0.767 that counted with Cronbach’s Alpha formula using SPSS software. The result of this research showed that firefighters serving in DKI Jakarta Provincial Fire Department have a rather high score of coping strategies with 73.71. The most important aspect of this scale is Emotional-Focused Coping with the most important dimension from that aspect is the Religion dimension.
