Abstract

Penelitian ini dalam garis besar memiliki tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan mengenai strategi keluarga pasien Covid-19 di Jakarta dalam menghadapi stigma sosial yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat lingkungan rumahnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam dan studi kepustakaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan konsep stigma sosial George Herbert Mead untuk menguraikan proses stigmatisasi yang terjadi pada keluarga pasien Covid-19. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa timbulnya stigma sosial pada keluarga pasien covid-19 adalah karena adanya kebijakan yang menyebabkan perubahan perilaku, hoax dan lingkungan toxic. Dari stigma yang terjadi, tidak membuat keluarga pasien Covid-19 melakukan perilaku menyimpang. Hal ini disebabkan karena semua orang mengalami dan merasakan pandemi Covid-19 ini. Strategi keluarga pasien covid-19 dalam menghadapi stigma sosial yaitu pertama, saling memberikan dukungan dan menguatkan antar anggota keluarga. Kedua, memperkuat diri melalui aspek spiritual. Kata kunci: Stigma Sosial, Strategi Keluarga Pasien Covid-19, Pandemi Covid-19 In general, this study aims to describe the family strategy of Covid-19 patients in Jakarta in dealing with social stigma carried out by the community in their home environment. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Research data obtained through in-depth interviews and literature study. This study uses the social stigma concept of George Herbert Mead to describe the stigmatization process that occurs in the families of Covid-19 patients. The results of this study indicate that the emergence of social stigma in the families of COVID-19 patients is due to policies that cause behavioral changes, hoaxes and a toxic environment. From the stigma that occurs, it does not make the families of Covid-19 patients do deviant behavior. This is because everyone is experiencing and feeling the Covid-19 pandemic. The family strategy of COVID-19 patients in dealing with social stigma is first, providing mutual support and strengthening among family members.
