Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti secara empirik hubungan antara ekplorasi karier dan dukungan orang tua dengan kesulitan membuat keputusan karier peserta didik sekolah menegah kejuruan Negeri di Tangerang Selatan. Teknik sampling menggunakan propotional random sampling dengan melibatkan 337 sampel dari 2.121 populasi. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan 3 (tiga) adopsi instrumen kesulitan membuat keputusan karier (Olga, 2018), eksplorasi karier (Farida, 2010) dan dukungan orang tua (Anisa, 2018) metode yang digunakan survey dengan analisis korelasi dan regresi berganda. Hasil analisis menunjukan tidak adanya hubungan signifikan ekplorasi karier terhadap kesulitan karier dengan korelasi sebesar r = 0,061. Hasil yang sama juga ditunjukan oleh variabel dukungan orang tua. dukungan orang tua tidak berhubungan terhadap kesulitan membuat keputusan karir dengan korelasi r = 0,780. Jadi Secara simultan eksplorasi karier dan dukungan orang tua tidak ada hubungan terhadap kesulitan membuat keputusan karier dengan Sig. > 0,05 yang berarti tidak menolak Ho. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini menambah kajian teori untuk kesulitan membuat keputusan karir dan acuan bagi peneliti selanjutnya untuk melakukan penelitian dengan mengkaji variabel lain yang mempengaruhi kesulitan mengambil keputusan karier. This study aims to investigating empirically the relationship between career exploration and parental support with difficulties in making career decisions for public vocational high school students in South Tangerang. The sampling technique uses proportional random sampling involving 337 samples from 2,121 populations. Data were collected using 3 (three) instrument adoptions of difficulty in making career decisions (Olga, 2018), career exploration (Farida, 2010) and parental support (Anisa, 2018), correlation analysis and multiple regression. The analysis showed that there was no significant relationship between career exploration and career difficulties with a correlation of r = 0.061. The same result is also shown by the parental support variable. Parental support is not related to the difficulty of making career decisions with a correlation of r = 0.780. So simultaneously career exploration and parental support have no relationship with the difficulty of making career decisions with Sig. > 0.05 which means not rejecting Ho. The implication of this research adding theoretical studies to difficulties in making career decisions and a reference for further researchers to conduct research by examining other variables that affect the difficulty of making career decisions.
