Abstract

Di era persaingan saat ini, perusahaan telekomunikasi perlu memiliki karyawan yang dapat memberikan layanannya kepada pelanggan dan menyediakan layanan telekomunikasi dengan standar tinggi. Telkom Akses, sebagai salah satu anak perusahaan BUMN telekomunikasi, PT Telkom, mendapatkan kepercayaan untuk mengoperasikan produk dan layanan IndiHome. Untuk dapat melayani pelanggan dengan baik, perusahaan bergantung pada kinerja tugas teknisi. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan gaya kepemimpinan yang memberdayakan dan iklim yang mendukung bagi teknisi. Kedua anteseden tersebut dinilai berdampak terhadap keterikatan dan kinerja tugas teknisi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan pemberdaya, iklim organisasi, dan keterikatan kerja terhadap kinerja tugas teknisi. Populasi penelitian ini adalah teknisi PT Telkom Akses di wilayah layanan Jakarta Barat dan Jakarta Pusat. Sebanyak 132 responden yang dipilih menjadi sampel melalui metode pengambilan sampel secara proporsional. Data kemudian dianalisis melalui pendekatan SPSS dan desain analisis jalur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh langsung kepemimpinan pemberdaya terhadap kinerja tugas, terdapat pengaruh langsung iklim organisasi terhadap kinerja tugas, dan terdapat pengaruh langsung keterikatan kerja terhadap kinerja tugas. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan kepemimpinan pemberdaya dan iklim organisasi berpengaruh tidak langsung terhadap kinerja tugas melalui keterikatan kerja. Kesimpulannya adalah bahwa kepemimpinan pemberdaya yang didukung oleh iklim organisasi yang baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung dapat menjadi pendorong keterikatan kerja, yang pada akhirnya mempengaruhi kinerja tugas teknisi di PT Telkom Akses. In every country, telecommunications companies need to have technicians that can deliver any telecommunication services to customers and provide high standards for the services. One of Indonesian state-owned telecommunication company subsidiaries, Telkom Akses, has been more than five-year operating one of Telkom’s service, IndiHome. In order to a better serve to the customers for the service, the company depends upon its technicians performance to fulfil their tasks. The company need to apply a leadership style as well as a supportive climate. These two antecedents are considered to have impacts toward work engagement as well as task performance. Therefore, this study choose empowering leadership as a new style of leadership, organizational climate, work engagement, and task performance as variables to be analyzed. The population of this study was technician form West and Central Jakarta with a selected sample of 132 technician through a proportional random sampling technique. The data was collected for the purpose of data analysis through SPSS approach and Path Analysis design. The results have shown that there is direct influence from empowering leadership to task performance, there is direct influence from organizational climate to task performance and there is direct influence from work engagement to task performance. The results have also shown that both empowering leadership and organizational climate can indirectly influence task performance through work engagement. The conclusion is that the new style of empowering leadership, supported by good organizational climate, can directly and indirectly be drivers for work engagement, which in turn affects the task performance of technicians
