Abstract

Perbankan syariah merupakan salah satu motor penggerak perekonomian nasional Indonesia yang potensinya sangat besar, dengan dominasi penduduk muslim sebanyak 88,1 persen. Merujuk pada data Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK), bahkan di masa pandemi Covid-19, industri perbankan syariah tetap tumbuh positif. Terbukti, sepanjang tahun lalu, pertumbuhannya mencapai 8,08 persen. Dalam rangka menjaga dan meningkatkan kinerjanya, perbankan syariah sangat memperhatikan pengembangan dan peningkatan kualitas Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM). Organisasi yang berfungsi dengan baik adalah hasil dari SDM yang sehat, berkomitmen dan selalu memotivasi yang disebut engaged employee. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah melakukan studi untuk menganalisis pengaruh langsung Islamic corporate culture, transformational leadership, personality dan job satisfaction terhadap employee engagement, serta menganalisis pengaruh tidak langsung Islamic corporate culture, transformational leadership dan personality terhadap employee engagement melalui mediasi job satisfaction. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif yang menggunakan metode survey dan kuesioner sebagai instrumen pengumpulan datanya. Populasi penelitian adalah karyawan tetap Bank Syariah XYZ se-jabodetabek dengan sampel penelitian terdiri dari 274 responden. Besarnya jumlah sampel ditetapkan menggunakan kriteria 5-10 kali indikator dari model penelitian, dan menggunakan teknik pengambilan sampel simple random sampling. Teknik analisis dilakukan dengan Structural Equation Model (SEM) menggunakan program software AMOS 24. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa personality, job satisfaction dan Islamic corporate culture melalui job satisfaction memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap employee engagement. Adapun Islamic corporate culture secara langsung dan transformational leadership baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap employee engagement. Hasil penelitian menegaskan bahwa personality merupakan variabel yang paling berpengaruh kuat dalam meningkatkan employee engagement. Job satisfaction dapat memediasi Islamic corporate culture dan personality dalam meningkatkan employee engagement. Orisinalitas dan nilai dari penelitian ini adalah yang pertama menggunakan variabel Islamic corporate culture, transformational leadership, personality dan job satisfaction dalam menganalisis pengaruhnya terhadap employee engagement. Islamic banking is one of the driving forces of Indonesia's national economy which potential is very large, with a domination of the Muslim population as much as 88.1 percent. Referring to Financial Services Authority (OJK) data, even during the Covid-19 pandemic, the Islamic banking industry continues to grow positively. Evidently, throughout last year, the growth reached 8.08 percent. In order to maintain and improve its performance, Islamic banking is very concerned with the development and improvement of the quality of Human Resources (HR). A well-functioning organization is the outcome of health, committed and always motivating human resources called "engaged employee". The purpose of this study is to conduct a study to analyze the direct influence of Islamic corporate culture, transformational leadership, personality and job satisfaction on employee engagement, and to analyze the indirect influence of Islamic corporate culture, transformational leadership and personality on employee engagement through job satisfaction mediation. This research is a quantitative research, using a survey method, with a questionnaire as an instrument to collect data. The research population is permanent employees of XYZ Islamic Bank throughout Jabodetabek, with a research sample consisting of 274 respondents. The size of the sample is determined using the criteria of 5-10 times the indicators of the research model, and the use of simple random sampling technique. The analysis technique was carried out with the Structural Equation Model (SEM) using the AMOS 24 software program. The results showed that personality, job satisfaction and Islamic corporate culture through job satisfaction had a positive and significant influence on employee engagement. Meanwhile, direct and indirect Islamic corporate culture and transformational leadership have no significant effect on employee engagement. The results of the study stated that personality was the most influential variable in increasing employee engagement. Job satisfaction can mediate the culture and personality of Islamic companies in increasing employee engagement. The originality and value of this study is the first to use Islamic corporate culture, transformational leadership, personality and job satisfaction variables in analyzing their effect on employee engagement.
