Abstract

Kepribadian sangat erat kaitannya dengan pendidikan karakter. Siswa yang mendalami pendididikan karakter akan mampu menerapkan sifat ramah lingkungan. Untuk mengukur environmental personality (big-five personality) siswa dibutuhkan alat ukur yaitu instrumen, dan sifat yang sangat penting melekat pada sebuah tes/instrumen adalah validitas. Validitas butir digunakan pada analisis butir dalam rangka pengukuran untuk memperbaiki alat ukur, dimana pengukuran yang akurat bukan hanya fungsi dari kata-kata item tetapi efek dari jumlah opsi dan ukuran sampel. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan validitas butir environmental personality (big-five personality) siswa dengan jumlah opsi (tiga dan lima) ditinjau dari kelompok siswa dengan ukuran sampel (175 dan 215). Data penghitungan dianalisis dengan metode ANAVA dua jalur diikuti dengan uji Tukey. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa 1), Terdapat pengaruh jumlah opsi terhadap varians validitas butir environmental personality (big-five personality) siswa, (2), terdapat pengaruh ukuran sampel terhadap varians validitas environmental personality (big-five personality) (3), terdapat pengaruh interaksi antara jumlah opsi dan ukuran sampel terhadap terhadap varians validitas butir environmental personality (big-five personality)siswa. Melalui uji Tukey kelompok dengan jumlah opsi 3 sampel 175 berbeda signifikan dengan ke-tiga kelompok lainnya, sedangkan antara kelompok dengan jumlah opsi 3 sampel 215, jumlah opsi 5 sampel 175 dan jumlah opsi 5 sampel 215 tidak berbeda signifikan satu sama lain meskipun keduanya berbeda signifikan terhadap kelompok dengan jumlah opsi 3 ukuran sampel 175. (4), bagi kelompok siswa dengan ukuran sampel kurang dari 200, varians validitas butir yang memperoleh alat ukur environmental big-five personality beropsi 3 lebih rendah daripada yang memperoleh alat ukur environmental big-five personality beropsi 5 (5), bagi kelompok siswa dengan ukuran sampel lebih dari 200, varians validitas butir yang memperoleh alat ukur environmental big-five personality beropsi 3 lebih tinggi daripada yang memperoleh alat ukur environmental big-five personality beropsi 5 Kata Kunci : Environmental Personality (Big-Five Personality), Jumlah Opsi, Ukuran Sampel. ************ Personality is closely related to character education. Students that learn character education may be able to apply pro environmental traits. To measure environmental personality (big-five personality) in students some form of instrument is needed, and one of the most important traits in an instrument is validity. Item validity is used in item analysis to measure and improve measurement, where accurate measurement is not only achieved through the words in said item, but it is also affected by the number of options and sample size. This study aims to uncover the difference of students’ environmental personality (big-five personality) item validity with varying number of options (three and five) and groups of students with different sample sizes (175 and 215). The data obtained is analyzed with two-way ANAVA followed with a Tukey test. The results of this study shows that 1), There is an effect of number of options on the variance of item validity of students’ environmental personality (big five personality), (2), Sample size affects the variance of environmental (big-five personality) validity (3), there is an interacting effect between the number of options and sample size on the variance of item validity in students’ environmental personality (big five personality) score. Results from the Tukey test indicates that the group that uses three options with a sample size of 175 students is significantly different compared to other groups, while group that uses three options with a sample of 215 students, and groups that uses five options with a sample of both 175 and 215 students all have no significant differences between each other. (4), for the group with less than 200 students, the variance of item validity is lower in the group of students working with 3 options than the group of students working with 5 options (5), while for the group of students with more than 200 students, the variance of item validity is higher in the group of students working with 3 options, compared to the group of students working with 5 options.
