Abstract

*ABSTRAK* Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara body image dan inferiority feeling pada remaja akhir. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menyebar kuesioner yang terdiri dari Multidimensional Body-Self Relation Questionnairae-Appearance Scale (MBSRQ-AS) dan The Feelings of Inadequacy Scale. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 388 remaja dengan kriteria 18-21 tahun dan merupakan mahasiswa/siswa SMA. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik convenience sampling. Uji analisis statistik yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pearson product moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar -0.228 yang artinya semakin positif body image maka semakin rendah inferiority feeling dan sebaliknya. Kata Kunci: body image, inferiority feeling, remaja akhir *ABSTRACT* This research was conducted to determine relationship between body image and inferiority feeling in late adolescence. This research used a quantitative method. The data collection technique was conducted by distributing questionnaire form, which consist of Multidimensional Body-Self Relation Questionnairae-Appearance Scale (MBSRQ-AS) and The Feelings of Inadequacy Scale. The total sample in this research is 388 late adolescents. The criteria for respondent were late adolescence aged 18-21 years and a college student or high school student. The research sample was obtained by convenience sampling technique. The statistical test of this research using pearson product moment. The result of this research indicated that the coefficient correlation score is -0.228, that means the more positive body image will lead a lower inferiority feeling and vice versa.
