Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan L’Amour Paternelle (cinta seorang ayah) yang ditunjukkan oleh tokoh dalam film Demain Tout Commence karya Hugo Gélin berdasarkan teori dari Johnson yang membagi L’Amour Paternelle menjadi empat karakteristik, yaitu kejujuran, pengorbanan, memaafkan, dan kesetiaan. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis isi berbasis pendekatan struktural karya sastra berupa unsur intrinsik pada film seperti plot, tokoh, dan latar. Kemudian dilanjutkan dengan mengidentifikasi dan menginterpretasi data berupa kutipan kata-kata, kalimat serta dialog yang menunjukkan L’Amour Paternelle dalam objek yang diteliti. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini berupa teknik simak dan catat yang dibagi menjadi 3 tahap menurut Miles dan Huberman, yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan atau verifikasi data. Data yang memuat empat karakteristik L’Amour Paternelle disajikan dalam bentuk tabel analisis data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 23 jumlah data yang menampilkan L’Amour Paternelle dalam film Demain Tout Commence karya Hugo Gélin. Dari 23 jumlah data tersebut, secara rinci ditemukan 15 kutipan dialog yang menunjukkan kejujuran, 6 kutipan dialog mennjukkan pengorbanan, 2 kutipan dialog yang menunjukkan memaafkan, dan tidak ditemukannya kutipan dialog tentang kesetiaan sebagai L’Amour Paternelle dalam film. This research aims to determine the description A Father‟s love of the characters presented in the movie Demain Tout Commence by Hugo Gélin based on Johnson theory which categorizes A Father‟s love into four characteristics forms, includes honest, sacrificial, forgiving, and faithful. This research is a qualitative research that uses content analysis method, with a structural approach to literary works in the form of intrinsic elements in the film such as plot, characters, and setting. The next step is identifying and interpreting the data in the form of quotations of words, sentences, and dialogues that show A Father‟s love in the object under study. The data collection techniques in this research were in the form of listening and note-taking techniques which were divided into 3 steps according to Miles and Huberman, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The data that contains characteristic of A Father‟s love are presented in the form of data analysis tables. The results of this research showed there are 23 data that show the forms of A Father‟s love in the movie Demain Tout Commence by Hugo Gélin. From 23 data, there are in detail, 15 citation dialogue showing honest, 6 citation dialogue showing sacrificial, 2 citation dialogue showing forgiving, and there is no citation dialogue about faithful as A Father‟s love in movie.
