Abstract

Levina, Elizabeth Rachel. 2022. “Konsep Dasar Prodigy dalam Pendidikan Musik di Indonesia”. Skripsi. Program Studi Pendidikan Musik, Fakultas Bahasan dan Seni, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan data yang mendalam tentang konsep dasar prodigy dalam pendidikan musik di Indonesia. Penelitian ini dilakukan selama 13 bulan, sejak bulan November 2020 sampai Januari 2022. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah studi pustaka, dimana pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui berbagai sumber dokumen seperti jurnal, buku, artikel, koran. Menurut Sugiyono (2012: h.53) studi pustaka adalah suatu kajian teoritis, referensi, serta berbagai literatur ilmiah yang berkaitan dengan budaya, norma, serta nilai yang berkembang pada kondisi dan situasi sosial yang diteliti. Analisis data dilakukan dengan, (1) mencari kesamaan; (2) mencari ketidaksamaan; (3) memberikan pandangan; (4) membandingkan(Nursalam, dkk, 2020 : h. 10). Trianggulasi data dilakukan dengan pakar psikolog anak, Hany Tanijaya, M. Psi., Psi. Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan sebagai berikut, (1) Definisi dari prodigy adalah, seorang anak yang berusia dibawah 14 tahun dengan kemampuan yang sangat tinggi setara dengan dewasa profesional dalam suatu bidang; (2) Ciri dan karakteristik seorang Musical Prodigy meliputi (a) Struktur otak seorang prodigy berbeda dengan otak pada umumnya; (b) Unggul pada suatu domain; (c) Memiliki sifat dewasa sebelum waktunya; (d) Memiliki kemampuan kinerja memori otak dan daya tangkap yang luar biasa; (e) Prodigy memperhatikan hal – hal kecil; (f) Memiliki kemampuan musikalitas yang tinggi; (g) Kemampuan kognitif yang tinggi; (3) Seorang guru hendaknya dapat mencari tahu terlebih dahulu kemampuan setiap anak dan kemudian dapat memberi materi yang sesuai terutama berkaitan dengan materi musik intrumen; (4) Definisi prodigy di Indonesia masih sering disamakan artinya dengan anak berbakat, maupun anak bertalenta. The purpose of this study was to obtain in-depth data about the basic concept of prodigy in Indonesia’s music education. This research was conducted for 13 months, from November 2020 to January 2022. The research method used in this research was literature study, where the data collections were gained through various document sources such as journals, books, articles, newspapers. According to Sugiyono (2012: p.53) literature study is a theoretical study, references, and various scientific literatures related to culture, norms, and values that develop in the conditions and social situations studied. Data analysis was carried out by, (1) looking for similarities; (2) look for inequalities; (3) provide views; (4) compare (Nursalam, et al, 2020: p. 10). Data triangulation was carried out with child psychologist experts, Hany Tanijaya, M. Psi., Psi. The results of the study can be concluded as follows, (1) The definition of prodigy is, a child under the age of 14 years with a very high ability equivalent to a professional adult in a field; (2) The characteristics of a musical prodigy include (a) the differentiate brain structure of a prodigy from the brains in general; (b) excel in one domain; (c) Have a precocious character; (d) Has the ability of brain memory performance and extraordinary capture power; (e) Prodigy pays attention to small things; (f) Have high musical ability; (g) High cognitive ability; (3) Teachers should pay more attention to each of the student’s capability to give the best material that suits, especially in music instrument; (4) The definition of prodigy in Indonesia is still often equated with the meaning of gifted children, as well as talented children.
