Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan strategi coping berdasarkan tingkat stres mahasiswa UNJ pada masa pandemi COVID-19. Sampel penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa aktif UNJ angkatan 2017-2020 yang berjumlah 395 orang. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah accidental sampling. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dan komparatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan alat ukur dalam bentuk kuesioner yaitu COVID-19 Student Stress Questionaire (CSSQ) untuk variabel stres dan Coping Behavior Inventory (CBI) untuk variabel strategi coping. Teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan Uji MANOVA. Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak 283 mahasiswa (72%) mengalami stres tinggi, 102 mahasiswa (26%) mengalami stres rata-rata, dan 10 mahasiswa (2%) mengalami stres rendah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan penggunaan strategi coping berdasarkan tingkat stres mahasiswa UNJ pada masa pandemi COVID-19. Bentuk strategi coping yang memiliki perbedaan rata-rata signifikan adalah avoidance (penghindaran). Kelompok mahasiswa stres rendah memiliki rata-rata sebesar 8,90, mahasiswa stres rata-rata memiliki rata-rata sebesar 12,07 dan mahasiswa stres tinggi memiliki rata-rata sebesar 14,01. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan bentuk strategi coping avoidance (penghindaran) tidak sama pada setiap kelompok mahasiswa berdasarkan tingkat stres yang dimiliki. This study aims to determine the differences in coping strategies based on the stress level of UNJ students during the COVID-19 pandemic. The sample in this study were active students of UNJ class of 2017-2020, totaling 395 people. The sampling technique used in this research is accidental sampling. The research method used is descriptive and comparative. Data was collected using COVID-19 Student Stress Questionnaire (CSSQ) and Coping Behavior Inventory (CBI). The data analysis technique in this study used MANOVA test. The results of the descriptive analysis showed that 283 students (72%) experienced high stress, 102 students (26%) experienced average stress, and 10 students (2%) experienced low stress. The results showed that there are differences of coping strategies based on stress level of UNJ students during a pandemic COVID-19. The form of strategy coping that has a significant average difference is avoidance. The group of students with low stress levels had an average of 8,90, students with an average stress level had an average of 12,07 and students with high stress levels had an average of 14,01. Thus it can be concluded that the use of avoidance is not the same in each group of students based on the level of stress they have.
