Abstract

Alfira Fia Ramadhan, Bertahan di Tengah Pandemi: Studi tentang Kewirausahaan Perusahaan Transportasi Publik (PT. Sumber Alam Ekspres-Purworejo) Skripsi. Jakarta: Program Studi Sosiologi, Fakultas Ilmu Sosial, Universitas Negeri Jakarta, 2021. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana pola kewirausahaan perusahaan PT. Sumber Alam Ekspres dalam bertahan di tengah pandemi COVID-19. Tidak hanya itu, penelitian ini juga mendeskripsikan inovasi-inovasi dan strategi apa saja yang dilakukan perusahaan untuk menghadapi pandemi COVID-19. Penelitian ini menggunakan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Adapun subjek dalam penelitian ini yaitu sebanyak 5 informan sebagai pengurus dari perusahaan PT. Sumber Alam Ekspres dan 2 orang supir yang bekerja di PT. Sumber Alam Ekspres sebagai informan untuk data triangulasi. Adapun lokasi dari penelitian ini yaitu garasi serta kantor dari PT. Sumber Alam Ekspres yang terletak di Jl. Pangeran Diponegoro No.164, Kembang Arum, Kutoarjo, Kec. Kutoarjo, Kabupaten Purworejo, Jawa Tengah 54212. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada Juli 2021 sampai dengan September 2021. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perusahaan PT. Sumber Alam Ekspres sebagai salah satu perusahaan otobus yang dapat bertahan di tengah pandemi COVID-19 dengan melakukan strategi serta inovasi-inovasi lainnya. Perusahaan memanfaatkan asset 150 unit bis dengan melakukan penjualan unit bis, penjualan jok-jok 32 unit bis, membuka kursus menyetir bis, membuka jasa pengiriman barang, dan menggunakan suku cadang armada yang tidak beroperasi untuk mengurangi biaya operasional. Selain itu, perusahaan juga memanfaatkan biaya operasional dengan cara mengurangi biaya tersebut, seperti dana solar, oli, mesin dan lain sebagainya. Perusahaan juga memanfaatkan hubungannya dengan pihak luar, seperti dengan Karoseri Laksana yaitu kolaborasi dalam pembuatan bis social distancing. Selain itu juga dengan pelaku wisata, pengusaha rumah makan, pengusaha coffeeshop di Purworejo dan Yogyakarta yaitu kolaborasi dalam pelayanan coffee on the bus. Selain perusahaan melakukan rekognisi peluang dengan memanfaatkan modal sosial yang mereka miliki (supply) dalam menghadapi pandemi COVID-19, perusahaan juga melihat tuntutan-tuntutan yang membuat perusahaan tetap bertahan sehingga mereka tetap melakukan inovasi dan pembaharuan serta menyusun strategi dalam menghadapi pandemi COVID-19. Diantaranya, perusahaan menjadi mata pencaharian masyarakat setempat, selain itu perusahaan juga menjaga reputasi yang telah mereka bangun selama 52 tahun berkarir. Sumber Alam Ekspres in surviving the COVID-19 pandemic. Not only that, this research also describes what innovations and strategies the company has taken to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Research data obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects in this study were as many as 5 informants as management of the company PT. Sumber Alam Ekspres and 2 drivers who work at PT. Sumber Alam Ekspres as informant for triangulation data. The location of this research is the garage and the office of PT. Sumber Alam Ekspres which is located on Prince Diponegoro Street No. 164, Kembang Arum, Kutoarjo, Kec. Kutoarjo, Purworejo Regency, Central Java 54212. This research was conducted from July 2021 to September 2021. The results of this study indicate that the company PT. Sumber Alam Ekspres as one of the bus companies that can survive the COVID-19 pandemic by implementing strategies and other innovations. The company utilizes the assets of 150 bus units by selling bus units, selling 32 bus seats, opening bus driving courses, opening freight forwarding services, and using spare parts for the fleet that is not operating to reduce operational costs. In addition, the company also takes advantage of operational costs by reducing these costs, such as funds for diesel fuel, oil, machinery and so on. The company also takes advantage of its relationships with outside parties, such as with Karoseri Laksana, namely collaboration in the manufacture of social distancing buses. In addition, with tourism actors, restaurant entrepreneurs, coffee shop entrepreneurs in Purworejo and Yogyakarta, namely collaboration in coffee on the bus services. In addition to recognizing opportunities by utilizing the social capital they have (supply) in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, the company also sees the demands that keep companies afloat so that they continue to innovate and renew as well as formulate strategies in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic. Among them, the company is the livelihood of the local community, besides that the company also maintains the reputation they have built during their 52-year career.
